i have this phone now for about 3 years and it is a very good phone
i ve droped it a couple of times but nothing happened not even scratches,,,
the music player is awsone it is far more better than all the music devices i ve used
the battery is great when i first bought it the battery lasts for about 3 days and after 3 years it can reach 2 days without charging
i ve not used it to connect to the internet except a couple of times so i have nothing to say about this
i ve never send it to maintance
the camera is a bit low with only 2 mega pixel but it is better than other 2 mega pixel phone cameras
i am very satsfied with it
i am gonna buy another phone but i am gonna keep my W850 .

I been using this phone for over three years now, I bought it when it very first came out.
The phone is amazing, I use it for browsing and e-mails through Opera mini and I'm impressed that everyday this phone have something to offer me, I use it as a pleasure and business phone and it didn't disappoint me on both aspects.
I'm a very abusive user, I use any device constantly and I drop it hundreds of times, and I even submerged it in water by accident.
The first time I had a problem with it was this week the internal mic broke because of humidity ( I live in a very humid area of the world) and the flex broke and I replaced it and overall after spending 3 hours in the repair shop, my phone is working again like it is brand new!
I'm very satisfied with it, to the point I can't even part ways with it though I was offered a lot of newer models with more features! Even if it broke down this week but considering that it lasted over three years with a user like me, is considered a miracle by itself!
(Most Nokia N series phones didn't handle me for a month even when used as secondary phones!)
I'm planning to wait till the X2 is released in my country and even will use it over another phone line beside my trusty W850i, I wouldn't ever let it go till it stop working one day and it is impossible to fix it!
My man now wants Sony Ericsson after being a die hard Nokia user!! SE for LIFE!

I love this phone. Have had it two years now But the ribbon is worn out. So if i had to shut to close the screen goes off. So i keep it open. Im told that if I replace the ribbon my smses will be gone forever. Im A sentimentalist and dont want to lose my messages. So is it true that if I replace the ribbon my messages will be lost? Also in south africa , what would it cost to hav it sorted. I love this phone and just cant imagine using anything else

i had this phone february 2006. too bad it fell 3x and it's not working. i hope it could be fixed. i really like this phone and i miss it...

this is one of the best fones i eva used. i got it wen it came out and av been using it since then, gives me no problem at all.

My Sony Ericson W850i phone was taken care well. But why is it that all of a sudden screen turns white when close the slide and need to turn on and off when open the slide. Now the screen totally turned white, what happen? Is this repairable? I need reply, please. Thank you.

i admire sony w850i,the only problem is the headset socket/charger.it easily loses when it is on your pocket or bag...sony please do something about is that is the only problem i see regarding the phone.

Okay, i have this phone since May 2007, equates to 2 years of gr8 enjoyment and ease of use. I have grown quite attached to it, btw im using it to post this, even after it dropped outa my pocket onto the tar at 100km/h whilst i was riding my bike.
To think i wanted a Nokia 5800xpress... SE 4 LIFE
