To Frankie - Yes you can change themes on all modern SE phones, you'll have maybe half a dozen standard ones and you can get additional ones from all sorts of places. Also, unlike on some phones, the theme changes a lot of things about the appearance - background, colour, font, also having different screens depending on what action you're performing.

In terms of the release date, as has been quoted on here, looks like August/early September time, but don't hold your breath! I'm waiting patiently for the W850, but have another new phone in the meantime, while I wait! COME ON SE, HURRY UP!

Well I think that the phone is great! to hear having Walkman Player V2 i'm thinking of changing from my W900i to W850i but I was wondering if 850 has the same video recording quality as 900i and also is the screen QVGA like 900i??.

tis guy doesn't have autofocus rite? glad tt it uses MS Pro Duo instead of the petite M2...

wat a gorgeous fone i bet its dead comfortable in the hand,,,i like slider fones now as i used to love the clamshell but sliders give smallness to

i think this is great because it has 1 gb memory.and the desine is perfect.in this technology world nothing is impossible.till now everything that sonyericsson says was exactly what we read hear.so to make it simple i WILL buy this phone.if your unpleased don't buy it

@el kenno - Welcome to the internet where all information is available. All he did was read some phone sites about whats coming out in phones and put it into a list. If they were intelligent they would of been realistic.

Lets start with why a 4mp camera? Does he have a monitor that is actually set at 4million pixels? I doubt it. Does he print his photos out larger than 8x10? I doubt that as well. A 3.1 mega pixel camera is the same quality as a film photo when printed out at 10x8. I'm guessing your screen resolution is the same as most peoples, 1024x768, well that is only 786,432 pixels. Not even a million.

6x optical zoom? They don't even have that in normal compact digital cameras and he expects it in a mobile phone?

MiniSD? Why ask for MiniSD when the phone already uses Memory Stick which has larger capacities than MiniSD. You call that intelligent?

the funniest thing is the fact he expects that a phone with all the crap in it he wants would only weigh 120g (ok have a mass of 120g for all you pedants).

this is a good celphone ilike because he have a good camera and radio emisore so ist a good telephone aa and sorry for mi english is very bad :p

mohamed must be some smart kid to come out with all that info he wants in a phone ...
Just think how complicated it gets in all that information ... how would a kid know about all that stuff and even if all that information was read he wouldnt just copy it because he would not have a clue about what he is writing down so that proves he is not a kid!!

The phone is mavellous so sweet like my girl but most times i feel so odd when using it cos it make me think of my odd ugly looking president Obansajo.

this phone is not actualy released yet as the other guy said that it was just promoting the phone like matrix reloaded aswel the promote the nokia in that before it ever came out

do you know how much u are actualy asking for in all that info you put down in what you want in your mobile .i think you should lower your standards a little bit actualy A LOT ....

It's called product placement mate.

They gave the phone to the producers of the film (along with a big fat cheque probably) in order for the film to promote the phone. This does not mean the phone is already released. The same thing happened with the Nokia 7110 - this was shown on The Matrix long before it was released.

The W850 will be released around August.
