As far as I can see the carphone warehouse website says it will be out in july. So hopefully won't have to wait until september!

I'd wait until this comes out and you get a chance to play with it then you can compare this with the others but remember this is a three phone.
I did notice you said Samsung D600 and not 800 or 900. I was going to ask why but then I played with the 800 and I think Samsung phones are getting uglier.

Personally I can't wait to see how big this phone is and how it fits in the hand. Yes the sizes are in the specs but thats not the same as seeing it with your own eyes and holding it. If it's not to big this could be the phone that makes me move to 3.

Certainly one for the wish list, the main failing of previous Sonyericsson handsets was the joystick, this seems to have been overcome by the introduction of micro buttons, it will be interesting to see how easy they are to operate. S/E software tends to be stable compared to other brands so I can't imagine it would have to many bugs to contend with but hopefully the radio will be inbuilt rather than the terrible plug in unit on the w900. S/E is jumping on the slide screen concept following in the foot steps of the D500/600 and the latest addition Nokia’s N80, just hope this is as good as the N80. One to watch . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Vodafone states that W850 will be out in June but Sony Ericsson UK's website states that it will be out in September. Which one will it be?

Imitation phones do exist. Looks almost 100%. Even the packaging - box etc. Not so - function and quality wise. They are usually in the more popular and higher-end categories (whether released or not).
Not necessarily referring to the one mentioned in earlier postings but more care should be taken when purchasing a phone nowadays.

Dan I would get this one. You can always download Opera Mini for it if you want to. Walkman V2 means more formats and more options.
