Its a nice phone, internal memory is not a problem as it has expandable memory. The keys are bit funny to use as they are to small. Its a brillaint idea from Sony Ericsson and about time they started making the phones smaller.

Great designing! It weighs about 71 gr's. the thickness is less than 1 cm. But the screen is not wide enough. I think W610 will be a better phone

Samsung has got a very serious competition with SE, this phone, though not as thin as X840(Ultra 6.9) was the slimmest 3G phone for the world market(beating N76,Z720,Z560). a true record breaker from SE.

I am a Nokia fan, but impressed at how fast SE can get their stuff out, not like Nokia's 6 month wait for the N95

Music phone without FM radio? Shame on SonyEricsson! This is the reason why I never buy W880.

I love the looks of this phone but the question is if it is any better then the W800, the W800 is a great phone it has a great camera ( best when it came) super music features and FM radio etc.
Now why have they moved away from that great concept. Now i could get the K810 but that does not have the bigger memory. Or I could go for the W850 but thats a big big phone. But might just wait. Now ur thinking get a Nokia or a Samsung or a Moto? Your kidding they are not as good as the SE phones.. just got to find the model i like.

Razr Maxx is actually better than this phone IMO... you cant view sim and phone contacts on this phone... on the Maxx u can view both or either one by selcting "Filter By" when in the phonebook. Plus you can hide a number on the Maxx using the "Hide Private Number" feature so that even when filtered to view all... u can still hide the ones your spouse does not want u to have... hehehe

On the Maxx u can programme the phone to either start up in flight/aeroplane mode when switched on(by asking you this question when switched on)... or you can switch to flight mode without having to turn phone of first.

The User Interface and functions look extremely similar to that of the Razr Maxx... phonebook similar also holding 1000 entries each with about 6 numbers + 3 email, 3 addresses, Url/website, Birthday, picture and Notes... this phone has no lock application like the Maxx so u can lock individual stuff like messages or set your phonebook to "View Only" so that only u can edit your entries and no jealous spouse deleting stuff they dont want u to have.... don't quote me tho cos it may have but nothing was mentioned of it.

2MP camera like the Maxx, Maxx can view in landscape too, browser is just like the one on the Maxx (uses Opera) with all that autofit, zoom etc... plus the Maxx is HSDPA(3.5G) so very fast.

Music wise this might be better than the Maxx but i don't know cos have not compared them... Maxx music is really good tho. Just saw the gadgetcentre.com review of music phones with the Razr Maxx and SE W950i getting 4 stars even though the SE is positioned and marketed as a music phone and the Razr AMaxx is not (SE supposedly had a difficult to use UI and kinda awkward... only negative thing about the Maxx was No music-centred extras, no dedicated music swap software... which is great cos aint a music phone either ways)...Nokia 5300 won with 5 stars and LG U400 last with 3 stars... here's the link b4 anyone starts trippin... read for yourself: http://www.gadgetcentre.com/ne...N/764/v/1/sp

All in all... IMO the Maxx is a better phone... u gotta luv that guy's... so happy i got it.

It is a superb phone the stylish design and the easiness of the music software is perfect. The music revolution in mobiles has begun! thanks SE !

The only problem i might have with w880 is the keypad, but thts no biggie. I think some of u guys are not being fair n by far being foolish. No Radio is nt a prob, its nt like u use it most of the times. The w880 gt the specs and the looks. It's quite obvious tht this is the start of a new beginning. Most of you people are being one sided on this. You should just accept greatness.

Nice phone, I loved SE. Too bad the MXE 60 Flash not compatible with this phone, and why smaller screen? Hoping the backlight strong enough against the sunlight, and maybe reflective coating on the screen, that would be great. Is the 2Gb M2 coming out?

Hi. Imho, it seems that SE have produced yet another excellent mobile. It is very good looking from outside, very light, but it has some missing things (ex. IR port). No radio? Why? And when will SE make a rubber cover for that Fastport connector?! (nice solution moving it to the side though)

Frankly I've been waiting n putting off buying a second phone till now to view the W880 and I'm trully thrilled with the design n specifications. I owned a W850 and this W880 compliments my needs as I'm more into listening music. A second phone that is slim n I don't need to carry 2 sets of chargers!! whenever I travel. I think SE is very specific in catering to market needs. W series for music lovers n K series for photo bugs. Wifin 3G is a necessicity nowadays. You can't have all kind of features in a phone, you'd ended up having sub standard features in all aspects. So to all you critics, why don't you use your brains to develop yourself a super duper phone that you dream of having instead of voicing unfair comments.
