really, you are all experiencing these problems?
i thought that this is a perfect phone for me, having 3.2MP in a walkman phone (though i really don't find its design classy)
good thing i haven't bought it yet.

Nice PR but the fact is that W890 makes lousy pictures and horrible video. Even SE staff never denied that - are you new?
No autofocus!!!!!
No flash!!!!!!!
The buttons are very small and purely designed.
The problems with the battery and with reception were widely reported!
And there are all kind of problems with this model.
Many places do not sell it anymore.
The last price was pretty low but nobody was interested. I guess SE went to the bottom and just pull them.

I had the phone and from a very detailed analysation of the photos it capytures about 10-15 fps in video mode. On the other hand the still images from this phone are so great full of colors even better than previous SE 3.2MP cyper-shot. It takes the still shot in about one sec exactly or may be less. Once you hit the capture button you have the pic. Then the processing (saving) takes place. Unlike other phones which takes at least 3 sec to get the shot then 3 sec to process the image. Its a great cyper-shot. And the greatest walkman ofcourse.

The phone itself isn't that bad.
Good call quality.
Walkman works "relatively" fine except...
The Sony Media Manager really SUCKS!!
It's THE WORST software ever! It does NOT work!!
Can't even get it installed on my home computer, got it installed at my "work" computer, heaven forbid the boss finds out!
Transfering files to the 8G M2 card takes... a... long... time!!
Without a playlist, the Walkman software will NOT recognize any files! PERIOD!
If you have 20+ playlists with songs, you MUST MANUALLY create the playlist IN THE PHONE WHICH IS REALLY DAMN TIRESOME AND TIMECONSUMING!
Because of this, I probably will NOT buy another SE phone! Their software really SUCKS!
Strangely, it's the SAME software supposedly included with Sony's mp3 player! This would explain why the Sony mp3 player will NEVER, EVER beat Apple's iPod!
Damn software is making me waste about 30 minutes ADD. time just creating the Damn playlists IN THE PHONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Theres Mods available now for W890 so it will improve the Accoustics for Louder Sound!!! and Camera drivers and Flash Menu's!!!!!

Try to understand the concept:
Even if your phone works fine, others (many) may have some serious problems!
