what are you talking about? of course its expensive, 420USD is soo not worth it at all. i dunno what website you are looking at, but w910 is like $100 cheaper than this phone.

@mstl,you are fully correct, no torch cause no basic led and no basic focus facility like macro switch..Just expensive for no specific point at all÷well said

Hey Guyz!!!

Just wondrin why you guyz are looking for a good camera on awalkman phone!?!?!?

If you want a good picture quality then buy a K-series dont bother buying W-series coz its made for music guyz not for Pictures!!!

not all the features you would need from a high end phone (8-series).

no flash or autofocus (or at least 1 of the 2)
no accelerometer
not very good sound (w-series, hey it SHOULD be a music fone)

worst part is,
NO Aux IN or 3.5mm/2.5mm jack like nokia.

i could easily plug in my nokia 5310 to my car stereo while i could not do that with my w880i.

i thought sony was ALMOST there beating nokia in CLASS and FUNCTIONALITY, but hey, their quality started going down. s500/w580 keypad cracking, w910 slider mechanism.

420 USD is TOO much for it!

If you think it is not too much donate a few bucks to people in need and do not drag about how little for you this money unless you work for SE - in that case 500USD is cheap too for you only since ....

By the way, in three days the price dropped 80USD. I guess not many people was willing to waste money while others go hungry every day.

STILL OVERPRICED!
No matter how much SE tries to promote it.

This is a phone without any special features.
No GPS, lousy camera, small screen, no touch screen, limited memory, etc.

This phone is not expensive at all ... only selling for USD420. in Hong Kong; which is approxmately the same price as the W910. This phone does have better feature as compared to the W910! The only let down is the smaller screen & the metal used for the phone make it feels cheap & flimsy!

I got mine yesterday from 3 in Sweden. It comes with 8 Gb memoery stick!

Overall very very nice phone for music. The camera is OK too, but not top notch of course.

Someone asked, and yes it has Active Sync but I haven't tried it.

hi all, just got this hp few days ago. Its light and the bronze is a cool and nice color. Since SE have always been using black and silver for their handset. well, one thing that is :( is the volume. Even i have on it till the maximum, the incoming call is very soft, so does the alert for sms... but overall, its the same as the rest of the walkman hp besides its a 3mege pix...

I posted another comment but I think it's still in queue to be accepted, so, I am posting another...

The Camera is not bad as those guys said, It's a little bit worse than K810, but really beyond any expectations.
The Screen is as crystally clear as K850!
really solid construction with the new battery cover mechanism.
The Screen get high score under the direct sunligh! I have tested it many times today!
really superb media player!!!
But I did not test its browser/sense me/ and ...

Well this phone came out since 3 days if I´m not wrong but it seems that people aren´t buying this phone because I can´t see buyer comments in this forum. Is the price a factor??? because I think nobody can justify the high price tag, but maybe the phone in fact is very good. Maybe if some owners give some reviews my critizism about this phone price could change. If not I´ll be waiting for w760 (gps, bigger screen, stereo speakers).

Why is everybody complaining about the camera ? It's a Walkman phone first and foremost, and weighs only 78 grams. If you want a 'decent' camera buy a brick like the samsung G800

the camera is beyond expectations, just a little bit worse than K810!
lodspeaker is tangibly higher than w880.
screen is crystally clear like K850 and I tested it under the direct sunlight today; the texts can be easily read!!!
the new mechanism have given a solid construction to this phone.
you have a nice and rapid (mouse) pointer in browser.
REALLYYYYY superb media player!!!!!!!
and and and and ........

Nice to see some SE employees here ;)

Thanks to them the price dropping everyday since availability!

No wonder, anybody who is independent feels this phone is over priced and far less attractive than its pictures.

Just a few reminder:
- no flash
- no autofocus
- very limited memory
- small screen
- poor picture quality
- poor video quality

And lack of all these for ....
SE released it for $$$$$$$ and now looking for the max. price people still willing to pay - SE has no shame!

GREED, GREED, GREED!!!!

to the guy that said the cam issznt bad...


okay listen...a 5 year old camera phone could take picutres like that under sunlight...

thats the only reason they do that so the pictures can look crisp and clear
i wanna c the quality of this phones camera inside a house
