anyway the answer to your question is no!
auto-focus is not present on all cam phones.
it is present on all cameras though...
phones without this feature usually have problems taking photos from very close ranges.
the come out of focus...

maybe this is a dumb question, but aren't all cameras on cell phones "auto focus"? Is the definition of "auto focus" somehow different for camera phones?

unfortunately i do not think the phone has an auto-rotation sensor like iPhone and W910.
i think you simply have an option to move to wide screen manually like all phones have when plating vedio.
the small change here is probably that you can do it in all modes (as we saw the menues on wide screen in the link i have posted).
this will probably be excuted by pressing a long # or something.

The only thing I don't get is - How does the screen rotate work? Is there a button that rotates a screen when clicked? Is it rotated when a phone changes it's position (like iphone for example)? or does it rotate when you open certain application?

how can you compare a terrible phone like 6500 to this phone?

did you read the review GSMArena gave the 6500? it is the worst review i have ever read!
they simply reccomend looking for other alternatives:-)
read at least the review summary...
BTW did you see how they named the review?

this phone however is a major improvment of the amazing W880 - did you read it's review?
i read all of it and it is one of the best reviews ever. note the w890 is going to substentialy improve it!

you are simply comparing the worst with the best in the slim phones category dude.

I finally maded it and upgraded
u are talking about 6500 phone which is worse than w890 how is that?
6500 got autofocus,flash,video resolutions(QVGA and VGA),push to talk,very loud speakers with 3D effect) thw new w890 doesn't have any of these features beside that the 6500 has a metal cover and cheaper than the w890!!!!!

Nokia has better battery life? Have you used a Sony Ericsson? My W880i lasts 3 days on a full charge with moderate use of the Walkman. A friend's Nokia 6300 can barely manage a day. That's where Nokia has lost the plot instead. Among the major brands, SE has the best battery life. All SE owners can attest to that.

This phone is also best for me.
i am into compact phones and there is no phone to compete with this size range.
amazing music player.
amazing screen quality.
amazing screen size (for the phone size).
SE great file manager.
great 3MP camera resolution.
very slim construction.
stainless steel body.
stereo BT and Java games.
screen auto-rotation?

ok, i was happy if it had Auto focus and flash but i was also happy with GPS ;-)
do you know a phone in this size range that can compete?

Are you sure this phone has auto-rotation? you are the only person I heard it from and I made a big research on this phone.

Well I am not sure about the flash on this phone, because I never tried to take pictures with it (duh, this phone is not out yet). I don't care about pictures and it isn't a topic I care about, so I don't know much about it.

There are all kinds of phones our there for all kinds of people 0BES. No one can tell you which one is best for you. As far as me - I think w890 would be the BEST phone I ever had so far and I am going to buy it as soon as possible.

Right now I Am using T650. I bought it mainly because of it design.

There is Walkman plaer 3.0, Sense Me, Megabass, TracID and so on, included in the w890!
I think the desighn just grabs me up! Yes, for those 400euro u can bu better phne(even wm6 with all the stuff), but this ne rulz about the desighn and really quality materials, used in it.

I am a die hard SE fan believe me but SE is making really stupid sets these days, no wonder most of the new models are plain failures..tell me which walkman phone has REALLY performed well in market after w810i??? No one..all these new models lack something essential and so are bound to be a falure. I am really hopefull about w960 but the review here says camera is not so good...why SE just don't give us a COMPLETE set with everything working great..I can't understand.
And to those people who say its a walkman set not a camera phone..then why even give a 3.2 MP cam???they could have just provided a 1.3 Mp cam...its a walkman phone..right??

I hope one day,will come Chinas mobile models, and will smash this models.This is game called: "two step ahead one behind". I will give you 3 mp camera, but I will take you autofocus and flash....You can not defeat cell phone industry. I am waiting some "linux" :))

why every body is crying about the camera doesn't have flash?

the existance of a flash would be great BUT:
how many of your pictures is taken with flash (i bet it's less than 5%)
or you just want flash to draw attention when you're taking a pic.

th REALY MISSED thing is the AUTO FOCUS.

how can you compare huge and expencive phones line N81 to this phone?
from the list of Nokia's the only one that can be compared is the 6500.
this phone beats the 6500 easy with a much better music player, more compact design, with FM radio, better construction and looks, expanable card slot, screen auto rotation, better camera resulotion and the list is long...

Nokia simply sucks dude :-)
