SE concentrates so much on music and camera phones that the basic purpose of a good phone > GOOD BATTERY > you need a substantial battery back up if you widh to use your phone i.e Talk and SMS & if you have any battery left to click pics or listen to some jazz. I think this is where Nokia overtakes SE and others because they are not ignoring the primary focus of buying a phone.

the screen is 2 inches? that's so poor in today's standards..

if SE put 3.5mm jack in their phones it will get ruined becuase like Most Nokia's for e.g. 6300 has 2.5mm jack built in ...it brakes easily....and Besides SE has the *FastPort* which is 1000 times better then Nokia's Ports in their Phones
so having the 3.5mm jack on the headset is the BEST way...

Thank u Ervand.. Thank u v.much 4r ur suggession... But tel me 1thng, does w890i gives nice pic during night time, as it sucks flash mode... Have u tried it once b4....??
And which set u r using now? According to u, which is the best fone u used b4...??

Well, if you are looking for those things and they are the main points then you are in a right place.
w890 got all that +
1) it is the thinest sony ericsson phone, so that's a best bet. w880 is thin too, but w890 is better since it is newer and better the w880
2) i THINK it has mega-bass equalizer, but it doesn't say it on this website, so make a little research on it (but I think I seen it somewhere)
3) It does have a 3.2 camera. The camera doesn't have flash and auto-focus, but I am not sure if you care about that. I don't...
4) It has a Walkman player 3 with the new cool navigation menu, which I really like.
So, go for it.

Hello guys...
Can anybody suggest me to buy a good SE phone..
Phone shoule consist of :
1. Gud bass effect mp3 player on its headset (not worried about fone speaker..!)
2. 3.2 mp camera with flash (need not b a xenon..)
3. A thin fone... i suggest less than 16 mm.
tats it...!
So plzzzz select me a nice fone.,
I'm asking u guys as u are a very expert in SE fones. So plzzzz.........

nokia offers many cool models like
n81
n73
5700 xpress music
6500
n93
all these models are better in everything than this new w890
nokis phones have very loud and clear loudspeakers unlike sony phones even the walkman phones dont offer this loud sound
when nokia release a new phone they study it well because of that you can hardly be dissapionted with her new models simply because every new model is an upgrade in it self.
but sony ericsson produces many phones that force u to change your taste to another mobile maker models like w880, k660, w910,w580,w660. the w880,w910,w660 and the w580 lack flash and autofocus beside the very ancient low video resolution (176*144).
the k660 lacks the very essential auofocus fuction beside the low video resolution.
sony ericsson upgraded the video resolution to QVGA in w960,k850,w900,P1and P990 only whiel Nokia upgraded to VGA video resolution in N95,N82,6500,E90,N93,N93i,6280,6288,6270. but It will take sony ages before upgrade to this resolution even LG managed to reach VGA video shooting in some of her models.
that makes me dissapionted I wanna awalkman phone that can inheritate my w810 but I dont know how long i will be waiting for this new babe before my patience runs out!!!!

it's less that centimetre thick! have you seen any other phones this slim with a flash? didn't think so.
why are people on here so obsessed with the list of features of a phone rather than weighing up what the phone is actually like to use?

no autofocus? that's bad..realy bad and as someone else observed that the phone doesn't have a flash....it's a very big minus...Now I realy don't know with what phone should I change my w810....

W890? Very very very good phone, its missing two things, 1. Infrared 2. Flash [camera], i can live without infared i dont use my own anyway, but with a 3MP camera it would have been appropriate if this phone had flash, cant win them all but it is still a phone i would like to own!

It's nice that you haven't felt that Symbian isn't a waste of money, but it's a waste of TIME.
Usually freezing, or slowing down. With the many more features Nokia is bringing out on the S60 platform, they better bring out a Symbian profile that can handle all of that, other wise while you're rocking your music and checking your GPS and turning the orientation, your phone will just die right there.
Sorry, but Nokia sucks in terms of ergonomics with their hardware, and useability when it comes down to their software.

this phone has many cool stuff like
the 3.2 megapixel cam
the big and clear resolution
walkman 3 and new media browser
very slim like the w880
3G and video calls
but the lack of the flash really sucks
i possess w810 and I wanna upgrade but I really cant find a walkman phone deserves to be possessed
I think iam gonna turn to nokia
