Sony Ericsson W902 - user opinions and reviews

Sony Ericsson

> In reply to The Jury @ 2008-07-23 02:46 from xJHfsince you're coming from P990 which is a smartphone, perhaps you may want to consider P1 or the G900. but if you can live without wi-fi, I'd say the W902 is a good choice.

By the way..I, too in such big dilemma. cause i was about to purchase the G900. but then SE announces the C905 which they included wi-fi(which is great)But I'm still wanting the G900 cause of it's touchscreen. And now W902 shows up

I like the design of this phone. 5MP is also nice add-on and to include an 8gig mem card was really thoughtful. my wife lost my p990 and i was thinking of getting another one. But i'm kinda thinkin if i should get this w902 instead or should i get another p990? what do you guys think?

> In reply to Revenant @ 2008-07-22 20:55 from SjdxSE should get RID of their proprietary port and include a 3.5m. port so people can use regular headphones that comes with the Universal 3.5mm plugs.

SE can then create a MIC adapter so people can then use the MIC to answer calls.

Just eliminate one additional feature that many SE users HATE: the proprietary plug (Fastcharge ??) used for charging and for headphones!

Can't wait for a review!

The phone doesn't look like much considering the dark color so let's hope the finalized version has a brighter color.

Hope the price isn't that steep (HAH)!

Finally, a Walkman phone with a decent camera!

Wonder what the battery life would be on such a phone? Hmmm...

Stereo speakers on a phone should be outlawed. if you want to listen to music on a stereo then buy a stereo, don't irritate the general community with horrible sound quality on the bus or train. good earphones are enough dammit!!

If you do your research, megapixel doesnt mean anything. its the camera sensor which makes the quality diffrence. You could get a 1 megapixel camera with high quality sensor which would look better than a 5 megapixel camera with low quality sensor. For argument sake.

Well, seems like the audio quality's gonna be exactly the same as the W980, which was just voted "best audio experience" by an independant test. Ought to shut up the naysayers and those that seem to think the N-series has superior sound quality...

> In reply to Dani @ 2008-07-22 20:37 from nEwMI don't know why people don't understand the benefits of the walkman adaptor. 3.5mm jack + no adaptor = no handsfree calls via your own headphones. I mean, if I'm walking along the street listening to music and a call comes through, I don't wanna be farting about unplugging cables etc - I wanna be able to reach up and press a button to answer the call.

And Dani - with the amount my girlfriend hogs the PC I'd never get to use the internet, what with GPRS being pricey. All these posts have been from my PC at work, just about the only time I get to use this website, and it's one of the only websites that get's through the company's security. So yeah, I kinda DO need wi-fi. Or a girlfriend that doesn't spend so much time in cyberspace they should charge her rent...

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-07-22 20:31 from P9Q53.5mm jack is built in the Walkman earphones Adaptor, so you have your own earphones to plug in do you?

have you forgotten the brilliant Walkman Earphones?

there as good as Sennheiser CX300's ...

as for Wi-Fi, do you really need it?
