I waited for this phone for a while and I'm really happy with it. It was definitely worth the wait.
Though it may be true that there is a trend of smartphones for the same price range, but I like the quality and features of the W902, which feels like an upgraded W810.
The phone feels great, is slim and easy to use. I like having a great camera and an music player combined in a phone :)
I don't understand why people are so unhappy over the 3.5mm jack. SE phones have always had the jack for headphones, and it has always been in the handsfree receiver. This hasn't changed since the time of the older models.
Dani, 18 Jan 2009The Gap between Symbian and Java is becoming less! so why have a symbian!Negative...more gap...symbian,winmo,android are open platform so much2 developer acclerate those os improvement! Can java use xperia panel? Can java use samsung widgets? Can java use touch flo panel? Can java use nokia widsets? Nope..java and open os are different class that's why se,nokia,lg,samsung make java n smartfone together!

hey guys regarding the body is it sturdy? or does it get easily scratched and the paint gets peeled off?
se is trying to present itself as CLASSY, but the price on this thing is just terrible, and no 3.5 mm jack
Haris, 13 Jan 2009Hi Dani,
I have read all the comments which you have given for mobile sets,i thnk u have a ... moreHmmm thanks;)
Well if you want a multimedia packed phone then get N95 8GB, N85 they have the Symbian OS which is abit complicated to use and sometimes slowww, those phones have features, but are you going to use them all ??
Then get W902, its got BETTER Battery Life, User-Interface, Quality, Telephony, Design, Music Sound Quality Output, Camera and its got Top Notch Build Quality!
The Nokia's have good features but you will have to cope with the Symbian user-interface and constant firmware updates to improve it..which you might get sick of if you use your phone heavily and on a daily basis, same with the features ..they wont really be used on a daily basis....
So for practicality and usability and user-friendly-ness and top notch quality features with superb telephony and design - W902 is the PERFECT choice
For features but constant firmware updates - N95 8GB, N85
I HIGHLY Recommend W902 to you though...
im so dissapointed first no wifi and below par camera or vga. most of all the price? whew! expensive! not worth it. very dissapointed! i settle n82. n82 is affordable right now.
for me, the price is simply awful. why do we have to pay a king's ransom for every fancy se phone rolled out with so many few innovative features. my God, it doesn't even have a 3.5 mm jack and they're selling it under the walkman line. everybody else has a 3.5 mm jack and se insists on living in the stone age. what the heck is wrong with them?
See what I mean, after my posting, lots of people came out to say this fone is not worth buying. No value add at all for the kind of money u're paying for.
I just checked the current prices - bad news :
W902 little below 400USD - way too much
and Nokia 5800 is less than W902
SE´s pricing is ridiculous!
this is an okay phone for 250 USD.
It got nothing special to offer. The camera is not so good.
Battery is average or below.
A sound quality is average.
If you like it - go and get it.
But most likely it is over priced and it will be outdated (already outdated).
But only making calls it is fine.
Not worth buying, there's no value-add features on tis fone like office and pdf viewer etc. With it, users can read and enjoy listening to music at the same time. In fact, if anyone ever notice, most SE phones do not have this extra feature whereas Nokia and samsung has it in most of their recent hp releases.
er whats the problem if the phone doesnt have 3.5mm jack? theres alrady a 3.5mm converter to put in the headset
