This phone has no load sterio speakers. Good 4 music but only with headphones
This phone comprises somehow the fusion of W980 and C902 features but the design is too simple to be true... so its definitely worth considering to buy a W902 instead.
Anonymous, 26 Sep 2008Slighter bigger screen.. really no difference.
Accelerometer... who really needs it? It's a... moreSlightly bigger screen - you're right, it's not a huge difference, but it's still a plus point. Accelerometer - it's used for so much more than auto rotate for pics and vids; walkman shake control, pedometer, gaming. Not sure if the phone will use all of these, but it's certainly possible. *Gb card - ok, so people are cheap because SE included a memory card? Why pay for one if the phone comes with it? SE headphones - sure a lot of people prefer to use t0heir own, and that's understandable. Seperate earphones are (nearly) always gonna sound better than bundled ones, but there can be little doubt that SE's bundled earphones are the best out there. Good enough that seperate ones aren't REALLY neccessary.
As for your comment about there being too many SE fanboys? Whaddya expect? This IS a thread about an SE phone. If you're not an SE fan then what the hell are you even doing here...?

Accelerometer... who really needs it? It's a Walkman phone for music not videos though it would be a better feature for the camera.
8GB M2 card included ... just buy one! What are you, cheap?!
SE headphones... prefer using own like everyone else. Mine's Shure earphones =;)
Phone is best for 1) Just getting it 2) new users or 3) upgrade camera from w890i.
If you already have a (digital) camera, just buy the w890i and save some money!
Too many SE fanboys here!
The average buyer can't buy a new phone everytime SE releases one, especially since SE phones nowadays are beginning to look alike!
Est. price based on various online forums and news reports are ~$600 USD whereas the w890i is ~$325 USD and dropping!
w902 is the 1st walkman model who build in 5 mega pixels ,ya is really nice can batter than camera phone like k850 & c902

Note to any US T-Mobile users:
According to various T-Mobile USA phone and tech support reps, 3G service is NOT available since T-Mobile USA's 3G network runs on UMTS 1700/1900 NOT UMTS 2100 which this phone and other SE phones operate on to get 3G! There are no current plans to extend the frequency range since the 3G network has started to roll out across the US using only the 1700/1900 frequencies.
Just have to stick with GSM with T-Mobile USA or get a phone that will use UMTS 1700/1900!
Does this phone have a xenon flash?
i have the C902 at moment and the pictures in the dark are rubbish and i want a good camera in the dark?
which would you say is best C902 or W902

Is this really the successor to the w890i?
So far, the upgraded features are:
1. 5mg camera with AZ and flash =;)
2. Slighter bigger keypad!
3. Upgraded headphones (who cares?!)
4. Includes 8gb M2 card (who cares?! Just use existing 8gb M2 card, if already own!)
It's really not much of an upgrade from the w890i.
Essentially, it has much of what's already included in the w890i except for the upgraded camera but costs much more!!
w890i currently sells in some US stores for ~$325 and dropping!
w902 is expected to cost ~$600 USD when it's released based on news leaks in various press releases!
Better to just buy (or keep) the w890i and save some money!
Vnesh, 22 Sep 2008Damn straight its betta than any nokia phone!!!Mega base? U mean megabass bro, more than that, the best W series i ever seen, percayalah.
Even without wifi and gps, this is still a very solid handset. Different people have different preferences. Many people doesn't need wifi or gps. What's important is the handset's brilliance in what it is meant for. And W902 will be king of the music phones when it arrives.
