Hi, This is an incredible phone but please do not buy it. It has a hardware problem. It seems that for the quantities produced before week 44 the memory has a big construction error so it can not be used.

While the W910i may sound good, our RMAA tests gave us some disturbing results. That is, the W910i’s Frequency response is excessively distorted, plus its lower frequencies are too elevated. Putting it simply, this phone’s sound is nowhere near what we call “smooth”, and on top of that it artificially boosts its bass, which is pretty ragged already. Replacing the default earphones won’t do much good – the player is doing better with the bundled set of headphones plugged in, and what is more, the output signal’s volume isn’t that great either.

The Noise level characteristic of the W910i is also higher than that of stand-alone audio players, which is probably due to the adapter.

"When it all started for music playing phones, this very concept was quite new, and the Walkman brand went up in ranks in no time. Hardware-wise, the W910i sports no dedicated chips for sound enhancement, and in the sense of sonic experience, rather than player’s functionality, all Sony Ericsson branded handsets turn out to be pretty much in the same boat.

While it made sense when the line-up had no real competition, with the development of Ultra Music from Samsung and Nokia’s XpressMusic, Walkman starts getting a run for its money. When we compared the sound quality delivered by the W910i with the Nokia 5310 and the Samsung i450, it was clearly behind both of them. Its bass level is less decent than that found on other solutions, the same goes for its top volume settings, and the equalizers found on the Nokia’s phone have greater impact on what you actually hear. It turns out that the Sony Ericsson’s product trumps them only with its software, whereas it comes short on the hardware front. Furthermore, those looking for superior sonic experience will have to look elsewhere – this flagship is definitely not for them."

i got this phone few days ago.
its awesome!@!!
the thing that really jumped out on me is the video.
if u put mp4 video. or other format.
its soo clear.!!
even with small subtitles. its pretty clear.
and the screen is biggg which = good!!@
personally. the camera..isnt that good.. but i got this phone for the music functions !~
if ur a music guy, than this is the phone for u.
if u more like a camera dude. go for the K's

does smb know if they are going to reduce the price coz in europa it costs about 400-500 euro . To be real im not gona pay for it more than 250 and thats the reason why im asking if the are making a cheaper price.

I had this model for 2 weeks and got through 3 of them!!! software corrupt on 2 and the 3rd did,nt work at all! fely plasticky and cheap,not reccomended

I owned this phone for 3 weeks the display is good and it's easy to use battery life is ok not as good as suggested by sony ericsson,battery life is a key issue for me. The video rate is 15FPS as someone wanted to know. The PROBLEM is i have had 2 of these phones as after a short space of time they switch off and can not be turned back on so i have now changed, I am gutted as i like sony ericsson i may of been unlucky so be warned

the reviews about this mob are extremely good... i'm plannin to get w910i.. jus wanted to know if its really worth it. and wat'd be the price in india? (approximately) is this model better than w580i?????

u asked about the battery life of the w910i
well its not impressive but it does hold charge for a long tym.
i used to own a w810i and the battery life on that was a tiny bit better
but dont let that put u off its a great fone. best iv eva had. my dad as a k810i and its nothen compared to the w910i.

get the w910i its a awsome fone cant go wrong

I saw this phone only once in mobile shop. First sight itself i was impressed by its style and big screen. Really cool mobile. But the people says its camera its not that much good moreover it dont have flash. I stay with samsung u600 it rocks.

I have been waiting for this phone to be launched ever since i saw it on this website. Just bot it last sunday and really love all the features. Unfortunately, I have been having problem with the phone and replaced it twice at the shop. My contact information on the phone was wiped out both time. When I chose the option to read the SIM contact, it shows that the list is empty. Fortunately after I got the 1st replacement phone, I backed up all my contact information on the 2GB memory card that came with the phone. But when the problem occur, it do not allow me to restore the info back to the phone with an error message that the phone memory is full. The phones worked fine after we do a master reset. I am going to try to replace it for the 3rd time tomorrow and am crossing my fingers that this will be the last. Very unfortunate for such a great phone....
