btw, anyone who might bring up the N81 here is kind of stupid. With such a small form, and a thinner upper slide then the N95, that phone is sure bound for massive damage, as well it's an accellerometer phone, so it might fly. Maybe Nokia should take after Nintendo and get straps for that phone.
It won't compare to the W910, because of that, and because it's so thick and heavy.

@xuberance: Guess you have waited quite a while now, why not wait one or two weeks more? Shops that have a release date that makes sence says week 41 or 42. On the swedish popband "Kent"'s webpage it says oct 17 (W910 Kent Edition). But if you can't wait there is not much to do...

........and it's not coming out in 6 days. on that website, it says oct 07, meaning 2007, not the 7th of oct. it should be out around 15th of oct. how much will it be? they cant really expect ppl to pay $600 usd for this. that is WAY over priced. i'll wait 6-12 months.....sigh.....boring. t650 used to be so expensive and so many ppl bidding on it on ebay, now....all buy it now's arent even used, and no auctions are up for bidding. how long has it been since it came out?

too bad the t650 turned out to have so many reviews describing so many of its flaws. i liked the look, size, and screen, it was perfect. now i have decided to seriously consider this w910. at least the screen is very big, i hope it doesnt scratch easily, but it probably will. i hope the materials used to make this phone isnt cheap, and will crack under different temperatures, and humidity, and how much excess power is used to dial. just b/c the slider option is added to this phone, it opens up so many more areas for problems to come about. the slider will eventually loosen, probably within a month. i hope nothing crax or breax while sliding up or down. japanese products are famous for the quality of workmanship. these days, the phones are crap and still expensive. wtf?

It doesn't have heartbeat illumination in place for it's accellerometre so that it changes orientation when you turn it on it's side. It also has the XMD that is also the same layout of media as the PSP and PS3.
Also, like mentioned below, it's MUCH lighter HSDPA/3G speeds of 3.6Mbps and has a larger 2.4 inch screen.
It's quad-band, a cm thinner.
Not to mention that this phone is 72 channels VS the W850's 40 channels, making this phone louder, and more crisp in sound.
As well, since this phone needs less battery, and the phone's battery has only dropped by 20MaH, then I'm sure the battery life will be equal or more then the W850.

Yeah man.. its Oct 2007, God knows why will they (SE) launch it,
Man I am seriously considering Nokia N81.. I hate Nokias.. but you see, patience has its limits,
N81 is also 8GB with same size screen, and with a 3.5mm audio Jack..
this is wait is just getting out of hand..

hmmmmnnnnn... i like this phone the first time i saw it in this site...nothing more exciting than walkman series of SE. I got Z710i and i accidentally dropped it like 8 times and now it hung sometimes but overall i think it good phone though..my son got a W700i and the sounds of it is very very good, very loud, the problem is he dropped it once and it never turn on then when i went to semicon(accredited SE repair shop)i turn out that the mother board of the cp is not working anymore, yikes!!!! and that phone is only 6 months old from the time we bought it, whew!!! it hurts!!! however it is a users fault, thats why, im still very much fanatic of walkman series of SE..
the only thing that im afraid of is the price here in the philippines...well let us see....hoping to see this phone soon here in pinas...

To xuberance: You make the same mistake I made. What the "date" says is october 2007. If you check the other phones they show:
Sony Ericsson T650i: "Aug , 07" - Sony Ericsson Z250i: "Sep , 07" - Sony Ericsson W960i: "Dec , 07".

Few ans for all askin how w910i stands apart frm w850i..
1.w910i has 40MBs of internal memory and w850i has only 12 MBs
2.w850i uses an ancient QVGA recording format and w910i has QCIF
3.w850 z 116 g
w910 z 86gggggg...omgg with a huge 2.4"screen
4.w910 has the latest walkman version 3.0
Addtionally,they cud hv given a 3.2MP camera in w910i which wud hv made it Unbeatable!!!!!!!!! ...:(

That only goes to prove that it was the first versions. Although it's not fair, but it seems that SE is kinda stingy, so they're making money off the hype that's being put into the phone at first, then reassuring people to buy it by making it better in quality.

Why would you buy both of them? Just get the S500 if you're so rich. Get the Green, Purple, White and Yellow one.
