about 3g in W950... on SE website its says 3g are: Technology that enables 384 kbps data transfer. it wont have video telephony

i think the best functions in SE phones are the "autofocus" in the camera and the "battery life"...i mean common.. 7hrs! thats heaps....i think these are the only things which shout out to me when i look at SE phones....

Dreadnought i can't agree with you more, SE forum its the funniest ever xD out of pity.
back to the phone really for the expected price, i think its better buying a good phone and ipod nano, both will have good batteries instead a phone that its slim but ugly, and expensive.

I think that w950 is gest a coll phone.it does not matter that it does not have a camera,because i have a nokia 3230 with a 1.2 camera and i have the phone for 8 months now and i did not take a single picture with the camera.But SE unlike nokia did managed to implementate a 4 gb micro drive.the nokia's 4 gb micro drive had some problems.and w950 is running on symbian 9.1 and uiq,that is something dame cool.:)but the touch screen is a state off the art display ,yes is true that some nokia phones have the same hy resolution touchscreen but not like this.id you like it buy it.but i an still waiting for the super phone to arrive,that will include every thing,like a 640*480 high res touch screen,with 16 milion colours a 4+ gb micro drive a 5+ mpxl camera ,usb,irda,bluetooth 2.0 ,push to talk,umts,secondary camera over 2 mpxl res,hot swap for the sim card,wlan,running on the latest symbian version with the posibility to upgrdade the software version on line via the phones web browser,and much more,i meen everything that all the best phone in the world have put together.Anyways the w950 is like an ipod with support for gsm and umts networks.It realy wort's being boot.Enjoy it:-)

I really canīt call me a huge Nokia fan but I have to say a couple of things.
Canīt you accept that both the W950 and the N80 are good phones?! It doesnīt make your beloved W950 any worse...
You are right about the battery-life, but new high-capacity batteries are rumoured to come out soon.
The design though, you honestly canīt call it ugly, atleast it doesnīt look like itīs from Star Wars. And these matters are about taste anyway. Nokiaīs style is often more timeless (or as you would say, boring?). I personally think some of them look boring. But SE phones look the same except for a few variations...
And why do you think that the worlds leading mobile phones producer would have WLAN in their phones if it wuld be useless? I mean please...

to all of you Nokia lovers:
- the N series has a pathetic battery life of hardly 4 hours of talk time
- Nokia has the ugliest design
- WLAN on a internet enabled _cell_phone_ is useless: it'll cost you battery life and size
to all of you no-camera-whiners:
- it's better to have a slim phone w/ no camera than a crappy one (look at motorola's V3 series - camera is shit comapring to my point-and-shoot canon SD300 that fits in my pocket)

come on !!!! I still waiting the W1000, with 3 or 4 mepapixels camera ( flash, mpeg4 video ) and 5 gigabytes internal memory (not necessary card slot donīt you think ? ). 240 * 320 pixels screen, works.

Guys.. I guess Sony Ericsson is going to take a note of this absence of a camera which almost all of us have said.
I am sure we will hear from Sony soon with 3G,Edge,a camera with autofucus with 3 Mega pixels and 8x zoom and with a cover that closes the lens :D

well i am an mobile engineer in nepal. i got this phone. i was upset by not being camera in this phone.but i have found an way.open the back part.above the battery open the screws. get hold of a vga or anyother kind of camra lens and processor.then connect the r2lb grenn wire to the processing unit.weld it.try to adjust the camera in the phone.make a hole in the removable cover.now install romump camera software on ur phone.it will seriously work.

Er... No camera ? I think there is something hiding behind this phone! Maybe SE company are now trying to target or focus on those people are love SONY walkman but do not want to pay for high-tech and costly phone and do nothing to the camera features... Some people might think that camera is juz for nothing la! 3G tech and 4gb memory is not cheap cost. So I think SE is right...create such kind of phone for those people to buy it at reasonable price. For camera lover, go for SE's K series... for music lover go for W series...

LIsten guys...it dfoesnt hav camera cuz it already has soo much memory...4 GB.....dats insane....so i say that this fone is really gud...but i still think w900 is better....and i heard one of them sayin dat there should be a memory slot....wat for????...wat more do u need...it has 4GB

No one will sway to N80. First of all who in the world wants to buy a gigantic brick that costs more than any other phone on the market? SE will release something simular at a much lower cost and it will become a best seller as usual and the N80 will flunk.
