I've had this phone for a week, i'm a big Sony ericsson fan, but i found it cannot play video ringtones, its difficult to navigate, & the stylus is really difficult to get out even using nails, all in all i'd give it 6/10

Either press the icon in the top right, or press "more" and go to task manager. Then press "open" and you can either end each application seperately or press "more" then end all. That should sort you out, but if not, then it's prob'ly a hardware fault, coz the battery should last at least 2 days, even with heavy usage of multimedia and web...

Hello to all tha people out there. Was using this phone from a month now. I am nt able to understand why the battery life is soo bad. The battery even on standy by wnt last for one day. I believe there is some active applications in the phone which needs to be switched off. Can some body guide me please......

With your W850, I wouldn't use the software for the W830. Rememer the W830's not 3G, but the W850 is. I don't know for sure whether that'd make a difference or not, but I wouldn't trust it...

Does anyone know when to update the phone? It is such a pain to update because everytime it takes almost a hour. Also, I have a video, converted into a mp4. I try to play on the phone, but it just lags a while and an error pop out, "there is a problem opening the file. Try again?" Does anyone know how to fix it? Also, fring doesnt work on the w960. It used to work on it, but after I updated my phone and install fring again, it just says "installion file is corrupt". I tried many times and it still ended up the same thing. Does anyone know any video coverter that converts to mp4. Because almost every converter i find, ends up a watermark in the center of the video or a shorter version of the video. Does anyone recommand the media manager Pro? It costs $10 though. One last thing, does anyone know how to play video in youtube without opening all ports or anything? Does anyone phone rear cover squeaks? Almost the whole part squeaks, including the camera part and the battery cover.

Hey yow...i found this site that i can flash my phone from myself.but it has the w830 firmware and i have a w850 but i think its the same software version.Would u advise me to do it or should i just take it to a shop and get it done.Coz the shops probably do it the same way.I went the other day to a shop to do it and he told me the internet was out and i should come back tommorow.Same cr@p

Yow revenant.i knew it was that damn id3.but its cool im too lazy to change it.i dont need a software to change it tho coz i have windows vista and i can change it easily with the regular windows xplorer.i wont bother hopefuly ill buy d w960 and let my brother handle d whole id3 himself.the w960 doesnt have the same problem does it?
I also wanted to ask u if u kno how to instal a new firmware coz mine is a bit messed up.and the update service dont solve nothin!

It's a beautiful phone,not that beautiful like in pictures but...

I had it's 8gb memory almost full but it was ok

It has some problems/drawbacks though:
1.the batery cover squirks...so be carefull when you buy one
2.the camera it's not very good...pictures usualy get a litle bit blury and a litle bit green if there is not enough sunlight...It takes a lot of time to capture pics so you may miss the subject
3.many icons are very small so you need extra precision even when using the stylus...
4.it was very nice if it was stylus free

have had the phone for almost three weeks and i'm fairly satisfied with it...it only hanged one time (i think because i had too many open applications)...wifi is fast even though it's only B...my only woe is that i cannot separate my songs inside the playlist folder by "playlist" (once i create a sub-folder inside the playlist folder the track is not being detected anymore...does anyone know how?
