I'm an SE loyalist but I tried SAMSUNG for a while....

My SAMSUNG i7110 reviews in 1 month use;

Advantages:
The largest screen of 2.6"(non-touchscreen) available in a candy bar design.
Superior display quality(AMOLED sreen).
Brush metal material smartphone
12.9mm thk is good enough with this large screen display.
Sleek design, excellent rating in gsmarena.
Fully equipped candy bar phone, name it what features you want.
Digital Natural Sound Engine. Loud, 2 loudspeakers(front and back)
Good camera and can take good videos
Good battery (4 days)
The best thing is in it's price, 558 singapore dollars only(385 USD)

Disadvantges:
no 3.5mm jack on the phone itself(in headset only)
Best in indoor use only or night time, not good with sunlight.
Sensitive dedicated camera key.
Needs time to navigate menu fast, D-pad and nearby keys are not so friendly.
I can't use all the features, I take time more on computers.
Lastly, NOT SONY ERICSSON phone.

Overall, I still like my Samsung experience. The price is superb with all these features.

I've owned two W995s. They are great phones BUT suffer serious network signal issues. Constantly changing between 3G and 2G makes internet browsing very frustrating when travelling, with the internet icon grey for far too long. GPS signal can't get a very accurate lock. It is a shame because the screen, speakers and camera are all really good.

To Jagan
W950 is a symbian and w995 is a java phone. Their contacts file format is different. Try to sync w950 using the old SE pc suite for smartphones to your ms outlook. Then use the new pc suite of SE, choose the folder outlook for syncing, choose advance options, overwrite data on phone.

The 32gb M2 cards are being work on now.

This was released on some online news reports from either Sony Ericsson or Sandisk! Just do a search on M2 capacity cards!

hey guys. i got this mobile a week back. earlier i had w950i. i was happy with it. before i gave away the w950i i took a backup of my contacts and my phone converted it into a Contacts.vcf file and saved it in the media memory of my phone. just a piece of cake. i hooked up my w950 to the pc and copied it on my local hard drive and formatted the phone to factory settings and handed it over to my buyer. and then i purchased this beauty w995. as happy as the earlier phone. only issue was to import the Contacts.vcf file into this phone. this phone won't accept this format. so now i manually opened the contacts on my pc and started entering the contacts manually one by one. the most stupid thing that i have ever done. around 200+ contacts. I have a few questions. Somebody help me if possible with these two as I tried googling for any fixture without manual intervention. but i could not find any.

1. what is the contacts file version or extension supported by w995 (ex: .vcf on w950i)
2. i have done a "backup to mem. card" from the contacts on w995. but cannot find it in my memory card when connected to the PC. How do i locate it. it was easy on w950i.
3. i need to take a backup of the contact file from w995 on to the pc. because if any issue happens on my w995 i cannot keep opening my vcf file on pc and keep manually entering the contacts one by one.
4. more over i cannot backup any new contacts and future contacts to my pc
5. is there any software which will help me convert the .vcf file (which i got from w950i) to w995 recognizable format so that i can just copy that .xxx file to my w995 and restore the contacts on the fly.

TOO MANY QUESTIONS EH! SORRY FOLKS. I BADLY NEED SOME HELP REGARDING THIS.

CHEERS,

w995 can use 16gb M2 cards.

The phone can supposedly use the 32gb cards when it comes out (supposedly in 2010 according to some online news articles).

sony ericsson sell is largly depends upon w series. But now a days other company can also give same audio quality with many feature loaded.Such as Nokia and Samsung. That's the main reason of sony's downfall.
