This is one of the best android phones I ever had.
Powerful CPU... can run all new games.
Build like a tank comparing to HTC...
Connects with PC without any problems.
Takes good pictures and video. Recording sound is also good.
Corner menu is superb for me.
Battery life is poor.
GPS works preety good.
WIFI... very stabile
WATERPROOF!!!
DUSTPROOF!!!
DROPPROOF!!!

Horrible Phone. Looks like the phone has not been tested before its out in the market.I used to love sony products thanks to xperia. The phone for no reason stops recognising the sim card. signal problem is there it shows full signal. but when i call then it says emergency calls only. I first thought my phone must be a defective piece but then discovered even my friend is facing the same problem. SONY is a bad option.

Following my advice below, it would take them at least 1-2 weeks to resolve it (maybe 1-2 days for replacing the part, then several days of observation) you should send yours too as soon as possible while it still has warranty. I found no software calibration fix from xda so I resorted to sending it to the service center.

Excellent phone. As it's water and dust proof it's perfect for outdoor people. I am a tree surgeon and the dust and rain is part of every day life. I have wrecked many other phones within a week or two doing this job. I have taken great underwater video footage of my kids in the swimming phone..fantastic quality and its strong and robust. Only drawback I can mention is that there is not a second forward facing camera for video calls. email, facebook, twitter etc all work perectly and so easy to set up. Had it one year now and am interested to see Sony's replacement..but I love this phone and definately recommend it to extreme sports and tough outdoor job types :-) Note! All phones should be made waterproof and dust proof - the technology exists so use it and stop robbing people for new phones all the time.

I had the exact same experience, a loud, high-pitched feedback during a call. If you use the speakerphone, it disappears, if you open one of the flaps below the mouthpiece (either the USB or the earphone jack) it disappears.

I had it sent to a Sony Service Center, and depending on the competence of the support staff, the fix can take as long as 2 weeks to almost more than a month.

My advice, specify to Sony Service Center to send it to Level 3 tech. This will need hardware replacement/calibration (the microphone specifically) Ask them to test the unit with the waterproof cover on and the back casing on. They didn't test it on mine, sent it back to me after 2 weeks and still had the same problem.

hi guyz, just wanna ask if you experience this, if i will call or they will call to me, there is sounds i cant explain its like echoing or something like grounded in my earpiece of my phone we cant hear each other, if i use the loud speaker its clear we can hear and talk clearly, do you think there is a problem with my earpiece of my phone? what should i do, please help..thank you.

It would be nice if Sony make a successor of Xperia Active in the future. I mean, the same design but slimmer and bigger with 4.0 inch screen and 8MP camera with a front facing camera. If Sony make it, I'll ready to upgrade to it from my Xperia Active.

Very fast processor and nice performance. Must have had a bad battery. Only 16 hours of standby (8 hours with wifi). How does this comply to the specs above:

to every person upgrading to ics please uninstall adobe flash ( all updates to it will be uninstalled ) , update it fro m my apps on the website of google play ( play.google.com by going to mmy apps on the right , scroll between apps pages until getting adobe flash and update it again!) it works like a charm!
