sandy, 01 Jul 2012is there any heating problem after the android 4.0update? pls rply me i want to buy this phone... moreWell the phone does heat up when when I use it continuously for playing games or using resource demanding apps. The temperature(as indicated by battery widget) has gone upto 44deg Celcius on my device. But I have never faced the capacitive touch button problem (as mentioned by a few users the problem occurs when the phone heats up a lot).
PS: I've only upgraded the phone a few days back and was on Gingerbread for the past four months. Even then my phone used to heat upto 42deg Celcius and never experienced the capacitive button problem even on GB.

AnonD-61000, 01 Jul 2012what can i do with the over heating problem of this phone..it causes the phone to hang :( im s... moreI only experience that when I'm charging the phone and when I play it non-stop. But never when I'm browsing or texting or whatever.
I love this phone. It's easy to use, I can download great games and apps on it plus I bought it really cheap... only 6,500 Php. It's the same price as Samsung Galaxy Y but it has a far better resolution so I opt for this one.
The only complaint I got about this phone is the battery life... I just wish it would last a lot longer than it does. But you really can't find a perfect phone, can you? So I guess I'll just have to live with it.
But overall great phone. Glad I switched back to Sony Ericsson, I'm getting tired of Samsung.

My co-worker currently has this device. He said it works great after updating the kernel version. I forgot to ask how to update the kernel version of the device. Are there any repair centers for this device? Also, do you recommend a store from which I can purchase the newest version of the device?
Thanks for your posts!

Hi everyone.I have a question to Mini users.
By the close inspection i become able to see the lines in the display of my mini from left to right sides or from right to left sides.
These lines can also be seen when we open an image in gallery or loceked screen. And these lines can be seen only by close inspection of the display.
Are these lines can be seen on all mini's?
Plz reply me soon as early as possible.
you replies will be really appreciated.
Thanks.
running smooth on the latest ICS android 4.0.4...
im planning to buy this fone but like xperia mini x10 mini, there have a same issue that is overheating issue is it already fix or not pls help me to give me some advice. thanx.
with five month experience , gingerbread is excellent but ics is worst ,official firmwares are simple but custom roms make Xperia mini powerful phone with high end features in just mini phone's!never upgrade to ics .
Coming straight to the point, the things I have noticed after updating my Xperia Mini ST15i (India) to ICS are:
( using with 32 GB almost full micro sdhc)
Good things: No more reloading of home screen widgets,
Lesser heating while charging,
No lag, User experience better and more fluidic than GB, obviously now it has all the new features of ICS, no need of task killer, greatly improved stock browser, preview of widgets instead of just names like in GB, slight improvement in battery, I'm a hardcore user so I would again say that there is no lag, its smooth (those who say that its laggy probably have a host of task killers/ startup managers/ watchdogs installed, ics doesn't need then anymore), touch screen has improved, touch keyboard is more accurate, Smoother screen dim and wake, BIG THING IS THAT EARLIER IN GB I HAD 40 MB INTERNAL MEMORY LEFT FOR APPS, IN ICS WITH THE SAME NUMBER OF APPS IT'S INCREASED TO 115 MB AFTER CLEARING ALL APP CACHE BY APP2SD ( you may use other apps for clearing cache it's one nd the same)....
Now the negative aspect:
Decreased photo and video quality,
Copy/Paste option of ICS is a headache to use, taking screenshot not as easy now (hold power button + vol down key simultaneously), TEXT ON SCREEN LIKE WHATSAPP CHAT/AK NOTE PAD/GOSMS AND ON KEYBOARD IS A BIT BLURRED, NOT AS CRISP AS IT WAS IN GB, It's a bit annoying SONY PLEASE DO TAKE NOTE AND FIX IN COMING UPDATE, MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT IS THAT THE PHONE DIALER TAKES ABOUT 3 SECS TO OPEN....ARGHHHHHH
Neutral things: in GB if you had a pattern lock you first had to unlock slider, then put in the pattern, now in ICS when I started using for the first time, it was the same ( slide first and then put in pattern) new ics slider lock screen is very cool looking, now outta curiousity, I opened to see the pattern lock settings if there was something new, I found nothing instead now my slide to unlock screen has disappeared, it wakes directly to pattern screen, good for some but SONY needs to put option for just the pattern screen or slide lock + pattern screen.
NO MAJOR ANNOYING BUGS OBSERVED BY ME SO FAR, I also never had any problem with the capacitive buttons as reported by some other users using GB.
Conclusion: Happily update to ICS, its cool and good overall, future updates will make it perfect, you won't think of GB anymore.
PS: Sony, please put in the ps3 type xperia feel in settings menu of ics too, like in GB, it gives the unique Xperia feel.
In all Xperia Mini is just small in size, it rocks! Better than galxy aces, wildfires, and even iphone3gs... Its a BEAST!!
