This mobile has awesome specification.
Don't believe those rumor creators who are saying it will cost abt 35000INR-35000INR just think this has only 400mb internal memory, 5mp not 8mp, 1 ghz processor(Single core only not dual core, No 720p video cam, no tv output, no avi support, then how can this phone cost 35000INR-35000INR...

Just think wisely bfor price posting...
bcos some will be thinking to buy this phone but bcos of our pricing rumor they may move to another with the price what they expected in various brands, so this would lead to loss for the great Sony Ericsson company...

I'm eagerly waiting for this awesome gadget...:-)

There are a few on ebay already and you pay the price for having it first, but very lucky! I want to try this out before I buy, though I'm sure I'm gonna get it any way.

i think its an awesome gadget.... and only one of its kind..... but this gaming devices are generally used and liked by the youngsters studying at schools and colleges,,,,,, and at the price point at which it is offered..... $900 (approx) in india its gonna flop.... and generally.... parents wont let buy their children such expensive device.... it would be great hit... if it was offered around... $443 - $554
bcoz at $900 a PS3 cosole.... can be buyed..... and the PSP is offered at $221..... and no doubt what so ever XPERIA PLAY gaming can never match up with PSP gaming.....
so sony ericsson.... just tell me why should i buy XPERIA PLAY....?????
so final verdict..... its a great device but its gonna flop.....

wow realy co0l phone (kind of the psp rumerz i herd in 2005)
But sony must n0t overprice it (or u can just as wel get a psp or go or new 3ds or get a dual coar cel) but the price wil drop fast thax 2 the new dual coar that r out so i hope by december $400

it is thick because it is cell phone + has gaming buttons.psp alone costs more than 10000 inr. so this phone+ psp will be of around 35000 only. take ex of nokia n8. it costs 22000+ but u can get a an excellent camera in that range so its foolishness to buy n8. it is for those who want gaming on the go and don't want to carry xtra gaming covsole

Two things missing on this phoe. 1. Not dual core. 2. Not 4G. Otherwise this coild be the next iPhone 5 killer but it miss those two important things.

That price tag is quite steep....Although here in South Africa we're quite used to being ripped off. The retail price at launch here will be the Equivalent of $1 200...Guaranteed and the average person in SA earns 4x less than their counterparts in the US. So We're looking at paing at least 5x more then other countries. Proudly South African!

innovative.! android + scei... thanks sony ericsson... surely, it will be one of the best gadget. it is not yet released by this time guys.. don't under estimate sony.. don't compare sony with apple, samsung and among others.!

If this phone launches in India with the price converted from $900, then its practically gonna be of no use since I'm doubtful anyone would buy it. Besides, I'm not sure that there are too many gaming freaks in India to give this a go.

On the positive side, if it does launch for, say around INR 10000 - INR 15000 less than the above price of about INR 45000 [$1 = INR 45 (approx.)] then it could be a good enough buy. I mean if the Galaxy S can sell for INR 30000, then so should this.

As for the specs, I believe the reason they chose not to include the dual core is maybe because this would then become a big threat to Sony's own NGP set to replace the PSP in the handheld gaming market. So, they sort of split it all into two devices - a phone and a console. My doubt is whether or not this would be able to play PlayStation games ??? Considering that it runs on an Android OS I'm doubtful it will support PlayStation games but I'm not too sure.

And yeah, the device does look slick (or sleek whatever that word is) !!!
