> In reply to dfj @ 2013-04-28 04:47 from tA$W - click to readYes, /data/app partition (user available) for your apps is 300 or 400mb (GB or ICS). But you can root, delete bloatware and get 250 or 150 mb on /system/app. Then you can convert apps to system - utilize that free space. Also, you integrate update in to system (gmail, youtube, play store,...those double apps)

yes, you can use your xperia ray as a modem for your PC. it is called tethering & portable hotspot, so it means you're going to use your phone as a modem with its wi-fi connection.
First, make sure you are subscribed to your data plan and your pc or notebook is able to connect to the wi-fi connection.
Second, open 'settings', then select 'more...'
Next, select 'Tethering & Portable Hotspot'
Then, tick on the 'Portable wi-fi hotspot' box. your wi-fi will be activated and the tethering will be activated too
Next, select the 'configure wi-fi hotspot'. fill in the SSID with the name you'd like to (you can also leave it as it is), and change your password (this password will be asked when your pc is connected to the phone), then select 'save'
After that, turn on the wi-fi on your pc/notebook and you'll detect your phone. just connect it just like you usually do when connecting to the wi-fi in a coffee shop. It will ask for the password, then type the password you just entered on the phone earlier.
And.. voila!

it is based on my own experience, I hope it helps.

Regards,
Gina

> In reply to amj @ 2013-04-25 15:23 from uWUt - click to readYes you can downgrade from ICS to GB. Search sony.talkmobile forum and xda. But try to root ICS first and delete bloatware - it is ok! GB have a little bit better performance in games etc. But ICS is more beautifoul and new or advanced apps runs better...

> In reply to Raccoon @ 2013-04-24 22:16 from 2S$h - click to readI dont think there is any google maps dependent services...if you use navigon or copilot or geo tag photo...you dont need google maps. Try to search what is safe to delete and what is not - so if you delete something you need you can get it back - just dont delete it and instead do cut/paste on you microsd card - so just cut/paste back on /system/app (and chenge permisions to rw-r-r) and you have your app back...
As I said - there is over 80 apps that can be safely deleted - in other words, you lose nothing, phone dont need them if you dont use them. If you use google maps, than dont delete it - but you can always download from market google maps, gmail, youtube...
I dont use google maps - dont know what is good inside? It uses internet data traffic...navigon doesnt.

> In reply to XxX @ 2013-04-24 15:54 from py7Z - click to readSend device to repair (warranty). Or try other GB or ICS software... I dont have that problem! Every phone or brand is crappy and worst on the world...when your device is broken! Thats why service center exists - and warranty!

Pb is you cannot do it because of the rebooting !! Solution is to delete the phone you just have paired with BT every time after you used BT...It is a really pain. Crappy SE phones
