Windows Mobile customers have the richest application catalog to choose from — over 18,000 applications to help pursue their hobbies, navigate life and work more efficiently.In contrast the Symbian community are fed a diet of weak gimmicky programs .Symbian continues to chop and change,add bits here take bits off there.Symbian's quickly becoming a total and utter mess.Thank goodness SE chose a professional OS for a professional device.

don't get your hopes up guys, X1 will be released late 4th quarter!
But this is actually a good thing, at least SE takes time to perfect the software.

I have been reading the opinions regularly: herewith my personal opinion:
No one knows the exact release date. In SE press releases it states the release date only as 'second half of 2008'. Also, even if the X1 is released Sep 2008 as per the rumor, the phone will only hit the shelves after a few weeks.
This story of the 'leaked' email is exactly what it is - a story. Unless somebody can give proof.
Lastly, remember the SE S700 – the race to release the first phone in the world with 1.3 MP cameras? SE was so determine to release the phone that it was released with a lot of bugs. I know, I had one.
So, even if SE takes so long to release the phone, let it be. Just hope the phone is releases without bugs.

the CFO of HTC, Hui-ming Cheng, said that HTC would provide X1 to SE at this quarter.

Nokia E 90 qwerty sucks.
My father's internal screen full of scrath because the qwerty.
Nokia E90 sucks, i prefer Nokia E71.

its just a htc touch pro and htc is making it for SE so if any upgrade required will be passed on to htc lol. SE = Slow.

Nope it's getting released just at the right time.I read SE took direct advice from Microsoft and that's why the unit has a whopping 256mb RAM.HTC made too many under spec pocket pc's hence all the troubles.Anyone who's used a ppc with sufficient RAM knows what a difference it makes..also handy for when WM7 comes.With the Xperia X1 we will be able to upgrade the os-you can bet on an android port too..cool stuff

They are taking way too long to release it, you can bet a different brand will come up with something at least similar around the same release date

Well I still remember when PS3 was launched Sony made a statement that they've a vision and idea for PS7 even at this early stage but can't jump and produce yet so they same way I would say if SE has X2 to bring out but it won't be till the end of next year.
You need time and technology to get mature before you start looking for potential market.
