htc touch pro is better choice than x1
xperia should have 5 mpx camera instead of 3 mpx
also the design of touch pro is more advance than x1
if you wanna buy this phone go on but examine it wit touch diamond and touch pro once

I would like to say a few things- though the SE xperia has got more resolution than the touch pro but it is neither vga nor Qvga. so many software & games will not support this resolution.
& also SE is simply novice about pocket pc platform while HTC is a legend. SE didnt even made the Xperia by thmselves.the core is deveoped by HTC. so not sure how good SE is going to come up with this set.
& furthermore the user interface of xperia can never be the same as the premium touch pro user interface. The touchflo technology is simply awesome which differs the HTC touch series from others.

OK.. I've been looking at a lot of youtube vids on this X1... and.. i'm still not 100% sure whether or not there's an accelerometer or a button to switch from landscape to portrait... can someone confirm the button or the accelerometer? thanks.

Yes but a VGA resolution screen would have been ideal. How many applications are going to work with a wide VGA display??

The standby time of the X1 is 833h on a 3G network and 580h on a GMS network. The talk time is 10h on a GSM network.
Note that the standby time for the Touch Pro is 503h on a 3G network and 406h on a GSM network.
For some reason GSM Arena chose to use the 3G timings for the X1 instead of GSM, which they normally use.
Also note that the X1 has HSUPA (@ 2 Mbps) and comes with Office Mobile.

Unless SE starts bringing units to market early they are loosing to giants like HTC. I have been looking forward to buying the X1 for months now. but now HTC has issued a better proposition in the name of HTC Touch pro. In a Sigma curve business marketing is simply not enough. the product has to come out quick

> In reply to pzigly @ 2008-06-06 08:49 from 4dGjits true if you want a phone with long battery s/e never disappoint..Still it must be hardware related as they have used the 930/950ma lithium polymer battery for years with good stamina yet other companys with bigger batterys fail to deliver..Nokia admits that altho the n96 is only a 950 affair the hardware used means it will last as long as n82,,s/e must have found thid out years ago...
