I bet you would look better and more business like with a small tablet than a small PDA like phone pushing small buttons! (looking like a little mouse with a piece of cheese:)
Image is important in your line of work ;)
Anonymous, 12 Dec 2008when I say business, I meant my profession. I am a newly hired associate in a lawfirm. Being t... moreI am glad, as I always said to others, when someone post a personal real good experience with X1.
(I mean not SE PR :)
Look, if you got a good/perfect unit do not worry - enjoy it.
naturally, my post is not for you to get you worried.
Enjoy your phone!
Personally? as you could read I prefer a larger screen for the type of things you mentioned.
tablet PCs between 5-12 inches screen.
But, if you happy with the X1 I have no argument.
I have used the X1 and I had less positive experience as you did.
When the unit was released the net was flooded with complaints.
The sales are slow and complaints are less.
I think there will be a second version but I doubt SE can fix all the problems since they already delayed the release over and over again.
WinMo 6.5 may fix some of the problems.
But, the reception problem probably will not be resolved until a new model released.
It is also possible that HTC just do not break legs and arms to implement the highest QA protocol.
HTC Touch HD is much better received than X1.
Anyway, feel good! :)
and think about to upgrade to a larger screen in a distant future - more ergonomic :)
Anonymous, 12 Dec 2008You said it is a must for business - what business you do on it?
I was unable to do any bus... morewhen I say business, I meant my profession. I am a newly hired associate in a lawfirm. Being the youngest in our firm, they assign me probably every case they have no time to handle plus all the conference i have to attend to. So working on the go is a must for me. I do have a laptop, but its a hassle working with a laptop at the back seat of the car while im on my way to a conference. Experia really helps me in this aspect a lot, I can do my pleadings or just write down any theory or idea of a case in office documents. (i hate to admit it, but dictionary and thesaurus applications really helped me a lot too!)
Regarding the screen: It is Brilliant! the colors are vibrant, I dont know why people are so worried about having just a 65k color screen. Personally, i dont see the disadvantage. In comparison to my N82, the screen of my X1 is even brighter and obviously bigger too.
some icons are indeed small, but like i said, i have no problems with it.
regarding the touchscreeen: I have no problems whatsoever with my unit. I can accurately click the small icons and the experia reacts to what i clicked.
regarding softwares: The most important applications for me are office applications, dictionary, web and playing any video formats.
I have no problems with reception or wifi. Im within the city limits so i guess thats why the reception is always good?. although I'm not really the type that surfs the net everytime theres a hot spot, but i did try it once in a coffee shop and I was able to connect without a problem.
i noticed that you probably have the most negative feedback regarding X1. is your unit defective? Im really fortunate that i have no problems with mine, and hoping that it will stay that way (crossing my fingers)
have you actually used experia?
remember my i.p., ill post a pic of me using my X1i if u think im not reflecting actual usage.
It seems you already made up your mind! :)))
But, also your question just do not make sense!
You see message after message about the problems with x1 and you still asking?
Do you think any new post can be different than the last 8000! post?
Also, why would anybody consider the E90?
They always accuse me of Nokia fan, but I can not imagine ever recommend the E90!
It is about 700USD but for what?
So your question is just without foundation and get the X1 - all the SE fans will say the same here :)
For business I would recommend tablet PC - 8.9˝-12˝screen (Fujitsu or Lenovo
or if you need smaller probably HTC 7510 ???
but I would wait for the WinMo 6.5 at least.
Anonymous, 12 Dec 2008BTW, I do not recommend the E90 over X1 to ..... Hey... go get the X1!!! :)u say problem whit x1 and say u ge x1 !!!!!! why ?

Vlad, 12 Dec 2008@ Arlen: Nokia E90 is a nice phone, lots of specs, but you just can not compare it to X1 X1... morethanks for your trust. i understand you but i need more oponion from more people . and i want read negative point about e90 and x1. thanks from u.
@ Arlen: Nokia E90 is a nice phone, lots of specs, but you just can not compare it to X1
X1 has a new approach of the same goal. X1 is new, has lots of practical menus, against E90
Please bear in mind that E90 appeared with almost 1 year before X1. So, with a logical thinking, you can understand why X1 has new and better technology.
I had for 4 months an E90, it works very well, but trust me, I can't wait to get my hands on a X1 :D
if you want to buy E90 or X1, you should check the prices also and technologies.
E90 is a standard business man phone
X1 is a standard business man&multimedia man phone
If I would be you, I will clearly choose X1
check this link also: http://www.gsmarena.com/compar...dPhone1=2246
X1 is best for me
only you can know if it's best for you also
understand what you really want from this phone, and ask well defined questions. I can answer only what's best for me
˝First day of real use in London has shown the reception to be very poor - on the train into London it dropped out most of the way (My S620 always has a good signal, my Athena usually an H but at least a G or E). Now in London the number of bars is 1 - 2 most of the time and the data reception for a download / web page very slow. ˝
you guys should kum to t mobile d&B wireless in serremonte mall for this fone we got good prices and good deals

Xperia has NO reception problem (in offline profiles).
Battery is GREAT (great 43200 second backup)
Display and Video are perfect (i try to find)
Cam is great (against any 2.0 mp cam)
Panels are AWESOME (OS look shame-shame)
NO LAGGING (every panel open only in 5 second)
Plenty of RAM (where are the RAM.......?)
Absolute Slower and the most sluggish phone right now.
ITS been really bad weather out today,, cold,, strong winds and rain..When it came down to relying on xperia in these conditions ( i got shelter in shop doorways to use xperia)the only thing that helped was spb shell and keypad..They both worked spot on but trying poking around using touch sensitive screen in real world is not on and so glad i got some other imput cause i new pure touch screen is not for me..
ITS a strange affair using my xperia? i use touch screen in combo with stylus and fingers all in the same operation so doing an email requires getting out stylus and use of fingers then the email is done on keypad and finished sending using stylus,,it works well..I now use optical joystick cause it works better the laptop touchpad,,ive got it set at 25% sensitivity and use it just in combo with other input styles..ITS been an interesting day but absolutly sure that touchscreen is not the way forward for me but a combination of inputs works fast as you skip around the screen,,oh and that screen its just pure luxury..
this phone is.. crap not its excellent the best phone on this whole website briliant!!!! raharmdi kuti!!!!!!
