All the WM experts hang out at http://www.xda-developers.com not gsmarena or some x1 forum!
Anonymous, 17 Nov 2008Rumors?
Not really! X1 is just at least a year late and deliver too little (while it is too... moreWhat bugs?I think people are experiencing difficulties simply because they are unfamiliar with the WM operating system. The learning curve is quite steep, even more so if your crossing over from a feature phone. If/when you learn how to use WM you'll soon realize the Xperia X1 is a very good professional tool.
Not really! X1 is just at least a year late and deliver too little (while it is too thick!)
But the thickness would be ok, but the buggy software is just a deal breaker.
SE PR and fans just keep ....bs
anybody can check out the X1 forums.
Real users just like me and you ... of course for the SE PR staff we do not exist. But hey take our money, but we suppose to shut up when we get a defected product
It is easier for them to leave messages here than making stable phones.
(see W890, G900, C902 etc.)
to the outdated ppl:
this cell has quint-band
now stick that in your pipe and smoke it
here I've found an interesting reviews of Sony Ericsson Xperia X1, with good photos. In Italy it'll cost 649 euros.
translated from italian to "english"
Anonymous, 16 Nov 2008yes :)) the X1 is perfect! (or NOT!) All the people who flooded the net with X1 problems (... moreDude it's so obvious you don't own the device.Your digging a hole for yourself by writing not from experience but from rumours.Wi-Fi antenna is quality,it's far better than the n95's wi-fi..anyway you go to settiings/connections /wireless Lan/power mode and adjust slider towards best preformance.btw GPS is very sensitive too
yes :)) the X1 is perfect! (or NOT!)
All the people who flooded the net with X1 problems (see forums) are just making things up.
As far as - outdated? HIKARU will be out soon!
17mm? for me it is too thick, especially if the phone has only a 3mp camera.
But, the big problem that this brick goes not work well. For example, dropping WIFI, low volume etc.
Can any one Help me.........if we can password lock the folders in X1....??? if not in X1 in which handset is it possible?
Anonymous, 16 Nov 2008Not only HTC makes phones for SE but Sagem also! No wonder there are many problems recently... moreXperia -17mm(width),Nokia 5800 XpressMusic-15.5mm,n85-16 mm,n96-18 mm,n83-17.3 mm,n95 8GB- 21 mm so look the xperia x1 has a QWERTY keyboard yet is slimmer than devices without a keyboard!Amazing stuff
Am i correct in saying winmo has two volume controls cause it did on my spv c500,e200 etc so their is volume in windows media player but it was also affected by earpiece volume handled by the in call volume adjuster on side of handset,,i do not have xperia but could this be causing volume probs
Anonymous, 16 Nov 2008Not only HTC makes phones for SE but Sagem also!
No wonder there are many problems recently... moreI bet that you don't even own a sony ericsson xperia x1 and you still keep on talking about x1 "reliably issues"
and other "problems". It's obvious that you are a sony ericsson hater, you are here only to scare potential buyers....did htc payed you to do this???
To all the fools that say Sony X1 is outdated!
show me a phone with 800x480 resolutions and USA 3G! then it' outdated!
currently Sony X1 is the only phone with 800x480 and works with USA 3G!
Anonymous, 16 Nov 2008There are reliability issues which had been experienced by MANY owners! and many of us return... moreWhat utter tosh. The X1 couldn't be released earlier due to HTC being the ODM and insisting they had time to market and sell the HTC Touch Pro. The bugs you say the unit has are a figment of your imagination, typically dreamt up by windows or SE haters( juveniles )
Anonymous, 16 Nov 2008yes the fixed it. thats why we had to wait 9 months for itNot really - the new X1 still have too many problems.
Actually, SE started to work on the replacement, knowing they can not sell a thick brick in 2009 with buggy software.
Hikaru (X2) was developed. Ready for release, but obviously while people willing to pay for the lousy X1 - the Hikaru remains in the warehouses.
Just, think about how fast Samsung etc. releases the phones. SE must have good reasons to play it slow - $$$$.
Fanboys keep paying big for inferior outdated products.
in reply to abbasean
thanks to that link very helpful and makes X1 stands out from the rest hope X! will be the mobile of all seasons.. Go go go X1...Experia boom boom boom!!!
There are reliability issues which had been experienced by MANY owners!
and many of us returned the unit!
And what obvious is that why SE kept delaying the release of the X1 - buggy software and unreliable hardware.
If you think just playing with the unit for 5 min. is enough think twice.
I hope X2 will be a usable model. I think it will be out soon. Se had to do something in the last 11 month - they certainly did not fix the X1.
reliability issues? Battery span is not a reliability issue! If you want to run a powerful OS coupled with an extraordinarily detailed screen then i'm afraid you have to except power consumption. It's obvious you don't own the X1 and have never used. The device is actually very stable indeed.
