Those who like it, BUY IT! Those who don't like it, BEAT IT! Why try to convince us NOKIA is better. Nokia is good when not comparing with SE phones. SE #1 beyond the shadow of doubt.

Anonymous, 03 Jun 2008One minute your declaring this device is a HTC the next it's a SE with no predecessors! You can... moreI think you got it all mixed up buddy. For there's no one here declaring that the X1 is an HTC device, although SE did partner w/ HTC in its development. All I'm saying is that SE fans are way too arrogant on their claims on a device that's not even out yet. Same would also apply to Nokia fans who put down the X1, when who knows, it could come out as the better phone. But for now, it is predictable that the N96 would do really well because of its predecessor's success, the N95. The Diamond also just came out, and is really building up a very good reputation so far and is living up to its expectations. Just got mine today and I can't wait to get home and open the box. As for the X1, its beta models on YouTube are sluggish and not quite the performer when you compare it even with the Diamond's beta models. Sorry, but that's the truth. SE needs to do something QUICK.
this phone looks ok with the design and all an over all out look of this phone would be a 10/10 well done s.e

You would end up charging it at the end of the day, but it did well. I think on any feature packed phone, if you use it extensively, you would have to charge them every day. So there is an extensive review on the Diamond's battery life, whereas there is none for the X1. So what you have saying that the X1 has better battery life than the Diamond is merely speculation.

Assuming processing accounts for the majority of battery consumption this device should easily out preform units using less efficient processors.
One minute your declaring this device is a HTC the next it's a SE with no predecessors! You can't have it both way buddy!HTC was the ODM so obviously they know how to build a WM pocket pc.N series are good devices and surely do cater for the masses.x1 is a professional tool aimed at a niche market.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970LOL, I'm not even a Nokia or SE fan. I never said anything about Nokia's superiority in general. Just on specific phone model comparisons. You yourself is saying that this phone has not been released yet, but SE fanboys are already making premature claims about the X1 superiority against phones like the N95 or N96, and even the Diamond that's already been released and have proven to work well. Though the N96 is not released yet, we already know how it would perform because there's the N95. The X1 has no predecessor. So SE fans should watch what they're saying until the X1 is actually released. For honestly, the beta versions of the X1 that we've been seeing, sucks.
10hs of talk time!!,A wonderful marketing lie because no matter what!,It wont be more than 3hs to 3:30hs maximum.since when SE or any other company say real things when it comes to standby-talk time posts!!
How could a 3inch display hold the battery life longer!!?,E90 has the same 1500Battery and you get to use the small screen doing all kinds of functions and open the big screen rarely, its good and battery really holds up but not that long after all.at least NOKIA were somehow realistic about how long the E90 could keep working.
A PCpocket, dont forget that guys and be sure that you and i(cause i'll get 1 when its out)will charge this phone EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Anonymous, 31 May 2008Yo, speaking about N96 compare to XPERIA? no joke, N96 looks like a baby toy really. yea 16GB ... moreOh come on, both phones are not even released yet, so let us not be prejudice here. Don't fix what's not broken. If the old interface works fine, then keep it. I have the N95 right now, and it performs just fine. So at least I have an idea of how the N96 would behave. I can't say the same for the X1 for it does not have a predecessor now does it?
Up to this date the X1 has not been released yet, so who knows how it would perform. Based on its beta version, it's not performing well. So I don't know why you cay that no Nokia can stand against the X1. And between the Diamond and the X1, the Diamond is the much capable phone. Better looking too. Web browsing on the Diamond is much better. It's text wrapping capabilities are awesome. Can you show me an X1 that does that? Oh I forgot, the X1 only has the beta version that is sluggish as hell and freezes up a lot.
You brag about the X1's WVGA display, try the Diamond's FULL VGA screen. I'm not even going to elaborate on that. The FULL VGA says it all.
X1 is a whole new world that has not proven itself yet, lol. Your very promising impression of the X1 is premature.
indra, 31 May 2008how do you know that x1 has a bug ? is there any official website to prove it ? SE is developi... moreAs I've said, it was in one of the reviews that I've read that the reason of the delay of the X1's release, is because they are still trying to fix some bugs. Maybe SE shouldn't have launched the X1 yet to give their developers a better chance. The Diamond's beta version already does so well, while the X1's beta obviously have major lag and application issues. The Diamond has a better processor than the X1. It may have a smaller RAM, but it uses a much advanced RAM type than the X1 (DDR SDRAM). It's Qualcomm processor is also the upraged version 7201A, compared to X1's 7200. So how can you say they're the same? You are the one making assumptions, not I. How can you say that the X1 will be better and faster when at present they still have the beta version. So it is you who's assuming, LOL.
indra, 31 May 2008yeah..when nokia tube come out next year, there will be others cool phone come out too with be... moreYou are not seeing the logic to what I am saying. The Tube is said to come out next year. No one knows of its specs yet. So no matter how many phones come out before it, it would still be an anticipated phone because it's never been launched yet, compared to the X1 that's been launched a while back now, with its specs made known to everyone for a while now, and still not released. Do you still not see the logic?
I know that the Tube would have better specs than the X1 because it would be so silly of Nokia to release a phone with a 1 megapixel camera and black and white display, knowing that it would be competing with phones like the X1. If you are Nokia, if you would release a new phone to compete w/ the X1, would you be conservative w/ its specs when you already know what the X1 can do?
You are wrong. The N96 is only about $200 more than the Diamond, not $1000.
Well the Diamond has a better processor than the X1 also, and the X1 is also more expensive than the Diamond. The Diamond even has a better screen w/ full VGA. At least the N96 has a 5mp camera and comes with TV functionalities. The X1 only has 3.15 mp. Also the N96 has a bigger internal memory and a memory card slot compared to the Diamond's 4gb w/ no card slot, though that's fine, but still, having more does not hurt, but you have to pay extra.
X1 only has a led flash, it's not even dual like the N96, so its flash is really nothing to brag about. Night setting w/out flash actually gives better results than using a led flash. 4gb is more than enough for MOST people. The Diamond does have a touch qwerty keyboard. The Diamond may only have 192mb RAM compared to X1's 256mb, but the Diamond uses DDR SDRAM type, the X1 does not, which makes the Diamond more superior. Diamond also has the upgraded Qualcomm 7201A processor, while the X1 only has the 7200. The X1 only has 400mb internal memory while the Diamond has 4gb, lol. No need to buy a memory card. It was in one of the reviews for the X1 that mentioned that they are still fixing the bugs, hence the delay in its release, so I am not merely assuming.
Anonymous, 31 May 2008quote 'Then I decided to get the Diamond instead of the X1. Simple logic as that' erm Diamond ... moreThe Diamond has features that the X1 does not, vice-versa. I think the Diamond has better display quality than the X1. It's animations are also much more impressive. Based on what we see on YouTube, the Diamond's beta version performs faster than the X1's sluggish UI. Best of all, the Diamond is already available, while the X1 is not =)
on tha white paper it was 10 hours talktime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi, if I'm right, the specifications of the battery type and battery life, have been incorported recently as I didn't remember them, could anyone confirm those data as they seem important values (battery capacity and battery life), thanks.
Mehrshad, 03 Jun 2008X1 is Nice But Always S-E has Low quality Display & ugly External keypad!!!eh?Xperia x1 has an absolutely barnstorming display. The screen has some 320000 pixels.Compare that with the inept 76800 pixels sported on most other high end devices namely n81,n82,n95,n96,TyTN II etc etc
X1 is Nice But Always S-E has Low quality Display & ugly External keypad!!!
Providing a device has sufficient RAM then Windows Mobile 6 is a stable OS.Far far better than the outdated, restricted Symbian.
