How come with windows OS, it can store only 1000x20 field contact entries only ? Can't it have unlimited contact data in shared memory ?
WM supports more than 65k colors. stop posting disinfo.
So much disinformation. First, it is 65k colors (16bit; 2^16). Second, windows mobile DOES support 16M colors. Manufacturers choose not to use it because it is a waste. It would make it take twice as long to draw to the screen, meaning twice the processor work, meaning twice the battery. All for a very marginal barely noticable gain in image quality.
SoSo, you have the right idea, but the effect would not be quite that drastic. Your estimation assumes that the screen is the only thing using the battery.
i think this will be one of sony ericssons greatest achievements..great work guyz! i only hope it will come out at an affordable price so i can lay my hands on it.
i think this is gonna be one of Sony's smartest Phones that has come out in years without it being similar to others. I hope it comes out at an affordable price, because i've got my eyes on it and i wont let it go buy me without buying it as soon as it comes out.
This gonna be one of the smartest phone of the world, one which has got every thing in it and has got the features which would make you fall in love with it....cya
The human eye can see 12million colours but the differences on a 3inch screen are minimal. The Resolution is what gives a display real quality.
and human eyes cannot differentiate between 56K and 16mil color. Also, the less color the less energy battery consumed. So hypetheticaly speaking, if 56K Xperia X1 last 5 hours with constant internet surfing, then 16mil may possibly last only 2 hours.
Xperia X1 only supports 56K color because it has Windows Mobile OS. We all know WM only supports 56K color. Unless they remove the WM OS, don't expect a 16mil color. Besides, 56K and 16mil are the same thing on a small 3" screen.
why do no sony ericssons have >256k color screens? why does a phone as potentially awesome as this only have a 56k color screen? please let this be a typo.....
Mite shift to sony ericson X1 but i gotta be sure if that A-GPS function feature shown works like a GPS receiver same as that of Imate 9502. Does it?
Btw, any definite release date in US?
This phone looks great, but i have a question: Will 3D games work on this phone?
SE take there time making the Phones. so nothing goes wrong with them!
Please be Patient
as there is a saying *Good things go to the People who wait*
SE is a great company, but i didn't trust them on the date of release.. if they look back to the history of their products announce they will find that they are losing lots of ppl caz of the same reason(remember the p990) it take almost 9 months after the announce day and almost a year delay to be in the middle east AFTER the announcing time.. don't know the reason but thats the only thing i take it against you SE...
s60 is dumb - thumb based. It was never designed with qwerty or touch in mind- at the moment its some kind of build up of ideas which came with time = chaos.I'm happy SE have finally chose to use Windows Mobile on a top end device.
I have a N95 and will sell it as soon as this Xperia comes out!Yeah it may not have 5mp camera or 3D graphics engine..but thats what mt digital camera and psp ps3 and xbox are all for!Believe me the N95 is not all that..but unfortunately like many others I thought it was till having it for quite a while now, maybe if it had touch screen and keyboard it would be better but for now its on its final days till sony releases this new toy for me.
Opera 9.5 offers 'proper' page rendering and zooming a la Safari on a certain other phone and no that certain other phone is not ANY Nokia
