Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 shows AT&T graphic at CeBIT

At this year's CeBIT in Germany, Sony Ericsson is showing its latest super-baby XPERIA X1. What struck us down is the AT&T's logo located at the center of menu. What could that possibly mean? Is Swedish-Japanese handset maker trying to indirectly pitch the U.S. based carrier through media? Or the deal is already done and they're just waiting for X1's release? Guess we'll have to wait and see. Still, it's worth mentioned that AT&T keeps adding various Sony Ericsson devices to its offering and somehow we wouldn't be surprised to see them carrying one of the coolest Windows Mobile smartphones ever built as well. I'm sure many AT&T users would love that, wouldn't ya?

It's about time some one brough out an i-phone killer. this looks set to be the one.

This Phone was showcased in India,Delhi at the Mobile Expo recently.I had visited the Expo just for this mobile.I asked the sonyericsson people there about the launch date and expected price.they told me it would be in Sep. 2008 and about 30,000 to 35,000 Rs.

To the people saying it can't make calls, if you read the reviews of it, they are only demo phones without the full feature set yet.
As if SE would make a phone that can't make calls lol

That chap who said he wanted a phone that can call , is a dope lol:):):), if u look closely at the phone ,there are 2 buttons which tell us you can make calls 1 for making the call ,the other hanging up , like on all phones!!! OH and wht phone in gsm arena is not a phone lol!!!!

kiko are you mad?If you honestly believe a N95 can do more than a WM6.1 PPC namely the Xperia then you really need to stay with Nokia or Samsung Symbians

I kinda like this phone, but it's really tough to give up my N95 for this phone. I'd be losing so much features. It's like getting a better looking phone but downgrading on features.

After watching like 50 youtube videos for this phone, I'm getting the impression that this phone does not make phone calls. I think this phone is only limited to display the menu screen and that's it. None of those demos that I've seen showed anything beyond the menu screen. They kept on switching the menu screen from landscape to normal view, and then they would do it again and again, lol. So I guess that is all that the phone does. It can only show you the menu screen in two modes, and that's it. I wish that those people conducting the demos would actually think about showing people how to make a call or compose a text message, for isn't that what a phone should be all about. But no, let's just show them the menu screen and that's it and those cute icons and that's it. Not buying this phone. I need a phone that could actually make a call =)
