X10 is already better than desire.
The soon to come upgrade to 2.x will just make it even better again, that's all.
Ramin's comments have been made based on facts.
The development time has been spent on the UI, and the results of this effort can be clearly seen.
Se has not officially announced about upgrades thats what I am telling, no confirmation, coz for them it is worth making a new model than upgrading this

You are always trying to reason out every set backs in X10,this phone has not even released yet, delayed
due to OS construction, I think that in the piont of being a smart phone HTC desire is advanced, ramin is blind in love with SE, tryin to make some marketing, misguiding people that this will have multitouch,, 16M,, defending the weaknesses of X10, this might be upgraded, but SE had too much time on android 1.6. upgrade to 2.1 will takes ages, by that time any buyer would have the chance of getting a better phone than this.by that time others will have 3.0 if the future android OS supports video calls X10 wont get a chance
Ramin please don't misguide others,If you are SE fan you can go for this, but don't give others hopeless hopes that would ages to be a reality. Coz you are not an official person from SE, but you talk like an expert to show off,if there is an official statement you can give the link here so people can watch it.
for example I can give a prediction like your comment on X10
Ramin be a candidate for the next US presidential election , if the people vote you can be the US president,

All of the new phones right now haas the same old 5mp camera with not even a a cool feature like face, smile detection and others. They have the same 3.7 inch screen. They all use the basic user interface (except for Desire but I actually think the ui is boring). Just look at the current xperia x10 previews and all of them has really good positive impressions. Even cnet says it looks very attractive and works really fast. IMO, no one can really match this phone.

Look at HTC Desire and HTC Nexus One. Android 2.1 with many great options. The Sony Xperia X10 should of have been out December 2009 before these other great phones come out.

Hurrah, it'll be upgraded to android 2.1 with support of multi touch as well as 16 million color and flash 10.1. http://blogs.sonyericsson.com/...upgradeable/
No Radio...thats a bummer.....they have launched the X10 Mini and Pro ....when do they plan to launch this phone.....
I think SE have bigger plans for the future than needing to bolster sales and notoriety by building a phone for Google.
It seems that their current financial situation has been a real wake up call to SE, and the results can be seen by the attention to detail going in to the X10.
Sure it's going to be a little late, but all the time has been put into perfecting the UI. I guess the fact that the development of this new and unique UI is complete will mean that SE will be able to release new hardware much more quickly. The X10 is just the start for SE.
In my opinion, SE is the only ones who have really innovated as far as the UI is concerned. Everyone else seems to be trying to copy the iphone. I like HTC Sense, and have it on my current phone but I'm ready for something new.
I don't know about the rest of you but the current builds of the X10 UI are better than I could ever have imagined. Such a beautiful, and useable UI with what seems to be no lag. I think SE now probably have more knowlege of how to get the most out of Android and Snapdragon than any other manufacturer. They have taken a beating for the issues of some of their recent phones but have come back with a vengence. Thank goodness.
I'm definately getting an X10, and I can't wait to see what SE will have when its time to upgrade from there.
dont get me wrong, im not an apple fanboy, i dont like iphone, this X10 is miles away compare to iphone... heck i choose my old W610i over iphone.
SE 2010, 19 Feb 2010Guys have you heard the latest news? The nexus one was supposed to be made by SE! But when goo... moresadly it worked best for google, if SE accepted the offer, then until now N1 is still a concept phone. on the other side, maybe the reasoned that SE refused to accept the offer is that they can't even finished their flagship phone why else they have to accept another company's offer to make phone.
at the rate SE released their phone, many consumer are getting impatient and become sour and will decide to choose another phone. especially for those people with phone contract that need to be renewed.
and i doubt that people will respond to this phone as they did to iphone. if i'm wrong and if people will really camp out just to get hold of this phone, i will be the first one to admit that i'm wrong about SE.
yigi liu, 19 Feb 2010I think it's going to cost a FORTUNEAgree with yigi liu...
You should read the opinion of one of the most experts in the mobile industry, said about the new coming Xperia X10 from SE :
So, there you have it and I’ll admit, having just re-read the above myself, this reads as if I think that the Xperia X10 is a masterstroke of handset design. Ultimately, however, this is exactly what I think and I see no justifiable reason as to why I should pretend otherwise.
Had the X10 have left me feeling cold, I would have told you. But it didn’t. What it did do is serve to reaffirm that, as mentioned above, Sony Ericsson have woken up, smelt the coffee and have obviously decided its time to reaffirm themselves in the handset market. And the X10 will indeed do just that, and it’ll do it with aplomb.
The Xperia X10 is a revelation. It not only looks great, but it runs like a dream and the thought SE have put into this handset – its design, its features, its usability – positively shines through. The X10 is sheer brilliance, pure and simple.
Or, if you really want me to put myself on the line here, I’ll put it another way. Alex (our Sub) asked me, on my return from the SE press event, whether I’d actually consider replacing my beloved iPhone 3GS with an X10 and I could only offer him a single word answer.
