2.3.3 raises the caliber of X10..its software becomes at par with Arc.. Its kinda nice and responsive..sharp colours. FB INSIDE XPERIA is a fabulous feature. screen orients in three directions as compared to previous version support 2 ways of orientations. equaliser to music player is a nice feature to have.. SE delayed the update but the update was worth the wait!!!
just updated my xperia to 2.3 last night. i was thinking that my phone will get slower when i update it to GB. .boy i was wrong my x10 is extremely zippy with a lot of eye candy to boot. fb in xperia is just awesome..everything is working well and i can finally play stream vids and play flash games..the keypad seems a lot snappier..it's worth the upgrade..don't need to buy an Arc anymore :-D byebye laggy Eclair X10 hello zippy Gingerbread X10
I updated my X10 yesterday (Saudi Arabia) and it works just perfect. Timescape UI is far, far better now and really fast. Mediascape is now wonderful because you will get the multi-touch/pinch to zoom on all photographs. Overall the new UI experience is really, really nice. And it seems to me that screen resolution is even more vibrant now. I am just wondering if we can add more screen panes from the 5 screen panes as a default. I enjoy more now with my Xperia X10. Good job SE – worth the wait for this update. So far, I did not experience any problems at all or even lag (at least for now!).
mfs, 31 Jul 2011hi all i have upgrad my xperi from 2.1 to 2.3.3 from pakistan.not available at PC Companian how could u updated ?? im also from pakistan

hey guys at gsmarena! do another review on this phone with gingerbread update. like me, there are many many impatient fans out there very very much willing to know whether this phone is now worth keeping with this new GB update or its time to look somewhere else. Please guys, keep this deep request of all us. Please!
Updated my phone 2 days ago. Battery life and camera are just the same, no changes. No 16m color, FPS is still capped to 32, no multitouch and no Bravia engine whatsoever. The phone is basically just the same with the 2.1 update except for the UI and the Apps2SD application. The gingerbread update is quite nice but not the best.
My biggest disappointment is that JuiceDefender does not work on 2.3 phones, and, the user available RAM went down. From 160-170mb before, it's now down to 130-140mb (with tasks killed). When I actually play a game, RAM goes down to as low as 30mb.
really? is there really pinch zoom in gallery? what about a way to get radio in this phone without the bluetooth headset? and also would like to know the 'changes' brought by GB to this phone. please anyone reply soon.
With 2.3 update, X10 is great phone. Faster, browser with flash support, better UI, etc.. Only thing that still crap is camera with "shooting in dark" issue. Night mode makes bad, noisy pics. Camera flash is bad solution. I was hope that they will improve this, and make real flash for camera, not just light for dark. Everything else is very good. Enjoy in your X10 with this update.
I updated mine to 2.3,and it works great, but still the Wi-Fi conection is not to good, overall its a good update, camera is faster, sound is better,etc..
I'm very pleased of Sony Ericsson phones !!! No 1

can someone tell me if 2.3 is available in South Africa, and is there an improvement on battery life and in-call/ringtone volume? Thanks
andi, 01 Aug 2011Yes, Gingerbread 2.3.3 is now available for Saudi Arabia. i'm from Saudi Arabia and still no 2.3
Great update. I'm using wolfbreak's rom and it's just as fast as possibly could be on the phone. Everything works as a charm.
I received the update on Friday evening. The phone is smooth. Camera is still the same, big changes in the gallery and in the music player (good or not depends on what you like) with now an equalizer. The battery doesn't seem to decrease faster than before (too early to know if slower). Better Timescape integration now than with 2.1 and it is even fast to open. I don't use Facebook so I cannot say anything about Facebook-in-xperia. Wifi works well.
Only one complain : I cannot get anymore the panorama beta app...
I was surprised to see I kept all the information that was on my sdcard (music, pictures). Before the update I saved all but it was useless. Only the contacts disappeared but as I synchronized them with Gmail, it was easy to have them back.
