Anonymous, 05 Aug 2010is this true? x10 will not get froyo?it wasn't an official word, i saw it in some website, but i found this one today:
"People from the Android team have confirmed that what was reported by many sites as Android 3.0 minimum requirements (e.g. 512MB of RAM) were actually just recommended requirements. So, the X10 could get Froyo (2.2) or Gingerbread (3.0) if SE decides to do it as it has the requirements to handle it. It would be kind of odd if the X10 was the only 'high-end' phone to not be able to handle 3.0. Though I'm not sure if SE would go with Gingerbread as it would mean that their skinning of the Android OS would be removed. Anyway, all this is just speculation at this point."
so i think there is still a possibility :)
[deleted post]Hi there...

I'll probably just leave the phone as is... at least until the root developers get all issues sorted out.

I've tried reading through tons of threads on rooting the X10 but there seem to be a lot of issues encountered by those who've tried rooting their phones.
Anonymous, 05 Aug 201065k colors only? That's the limitation of Android 1.6 version, and not the phone. Once it gets updated to Android 2.1 it will get 16M colors. But in just over a week of experience with the phone, I never get to noticed it. I presumed that given the size of the screen, and the pixel density, it's hardly noticeable. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I am speaking based on my experience because I own this phone...
[deleted post]im not blind.. this what i want. and the phone gives me what i want.. i know it lack some of the features that other phone have but its ok.. im satisfied wth it..
[deleted post]Well instead of helping others in this forum you're just posting useless comments my friend which means nothing. There are companies which make luxurious phones like vertu which only have decent hardware but they too sell... so this phone will sell irrespective of what me or u think... get that into your head... if u don't like the phone.. say it once or twice but stop being annoying coz then it shows what kind upbringing u had... if u like someother phone go buy it no ones forcing u to buy X10... if you're anti Sony Ericsson create a website of your own... or your own blog n then say what u want to.... why hang around here.... BTW people buy Sony Ericsson coz of customer service...which is unmatched.... n quality is top notch... and talking about gingerbread.. they are not even sure they gonna release it for smartphones or Just tablet pcs... so what are u talking about eh?
