Anonymous, 12 Apr 2010the reason why i believe that x10 doesnt support multitouch is because sony ericsson fails to ... moreHi . i think it is not a logical reason .
if you bleave that apple wont give its multitouch tecknology to sony ericsson so WHAT ABOUT HTC HD2...?
if apple wanna his owne tecknology be always with thir phone so where does the multitouch screen of hd2 come frome?
i think x10 will be moultitouch soon .
the reason why i believe that x10 doesnt support multitouch is because sony ericsson fails to acquire the authority from apple to do so because apple holds the patent for multitouch technology. i do believe that x10 does support multitouch deep inside. is just that apple cannot allow such powerful device like x10 to take on the iphone that they hv to keep the technology away from sony ericsson. futhermore se is not currently in a very good financial position to pay the royalties to apple for multitouch technology. that might increase the cost of x10 and thus the selling price. that could affect se's market share.
a user on the xda-developers forum has confirmed that a 32GB microSD card works “flawlessly” in the X10.
Vincent, 12 Apr 2010Please cite some sources. Where did you read it cannot support multitouch because of a cheap s... moreSorry, but it cannot Support Multitouch.
Like i said, they putted a cheap capacitive screen that no matter what, it cannot support multitouch...
you need some sources? it everywhere! LOL!
here you go:
HERE IS THE OFFICIAL STATEMENT OF SONY ERICSSON:
"It is correct that the X10 will not support multi-touch. However with the X10’s signature applications, the X10 offers an excellent user experience."
The reason? they put a cheap capacitive screen on it! it even got lower refresh rate than the other capacitive screens.. so this another reason why it is not that sensitive.
I am not putting X10 down, i mean i am a fan of X10, ill buy it next month when the price go down. LOL!
Im going to get the black one. =)
I just want to clarify things.

Hi all, any body know how to set camera flash on x10. Tks for your soonest adv.
if you knew anything about capacitive screens you would know that no matter how cheap they are by definition they can support multitouch
Hero, 11 Apr 2010NO IT CANNOT Support Multitouch..
the reason is that, SE put a cheap screen on this monster... morePlease cite some sources. Where did you read it cannot support multitouch because of a cheap screen?
If its true I would love to know which SE rep said it, because as far as I can find they havent given any information on that in an official press release.
All there was was an employee of SE posting in a Comments section that it wont, but another SE employee posted that it could.
Like I said, the Comments section isnt an official channel and shouldnt be treated as such.
tldr; unless someone official said it it isnt worth the internet its written on.
Shahas, 11 Apr 2010Thanks li...i bought the phone from dubai...and the option is WCDMA & GSM..UMTS/HSPA etc..... moreHi,
WCDMA, HSPA, HSDPA, UMTS all are used for 3G network.
HSPA and HSDPA are High Speed Packet Data Access, which is for 3G network.
Also mentioned frequences like 1900MHz and 2100MHz also represents 3G. 900/800 and 1700/1800MHz represents GSM network.
