Hi,
I have just bought Yari. It is nice. I loved gesture gaming.
Can anybody tell me how to lock keypad manually, when slider is closed???

plz guys nd galz dnt go for YARI . . .m not against siny ericson . .u can go for any other sony eric fon. . . .but belive me YARI sucks. . .m using it from d last 7 months. . .. m totally fed up with dis fon . . .So plz avoid it . . . .

Salaam brother . . .me tooo having same problem what you are facing (keypad issue which includes back key nd right navigation key). .. i sbmtd it on 25th june at sony ercsn service center nehru place delhi .. . .nd m still waiting for my fon . .they are saying parts r nt available . .. . this fon reallly Sucks yaar . . .their manger said that we are having 900 yari with us ryt now with same issues. . .it clearly indicates that Sony ericsson YARI is d biggest FLOP of dis year . . . .I jus hate Sony Ericsson now . . . .:(

Be wary of buying this phone. Have got the phone and its keypad started giving issues in 4 months. Currently, my phone is with the service center for over a month. And still they tell me to expect it only after one week (Actually this is what they tell me everytime I call them)! And that too not confirmed.
Have found many other Yari phones have similar issue and are with service centers for an awful amount of time. Many have found the issues to prop up again after first servicing. Numerous of my mails to their Sony have not received any attention.

Loved my phone when I first saw it and I got in my hands. But now spend precious time listening to the service center folks blabber. Worried if I'll ever get my phone back :(

Any one has suggestions to deal with this grievance kindly share...

well YARI camera is ok,but not like cybershot model.
Contrast is low,need to use photo fix for the same.
Overall nice phone from SE...

any YARI user from INDIA.
I am facing a peculiar issue with my YARI.
I have installed many apps(gmail,go talk,orkut,facebook,snaptu,ngpay,opera mini,dictionary,mguard,way2sms,youtube).All the apps running fine (mobile office AIRTEL) except ngpay.
while connecting it gives me connection error.
Also contacted ngpay customer care,follwed their procedure,but no luck till now.
Can u pls help me out with this issue.
Ngpay is running fine on my W700I(SAME MOBILE OFFICE connection).

hazel has too many hardware problems
while yari has only quiet a little software problems which can be rectified by the company in the upcoming firmwares.
consider the lack of wi-fi in yari if you are living in a wifi network.
normal people dont need them they only use gprs

Guys please compare Yari n Hazel.
I know Yari lacks two things: Wifi n 0.2" screen size.

I dont mind the difference.

Also i know that Yari has much much better audio levels on the external speakers.

So, the only differentiator remains is the camera.
I can make this out from the reviews of both the phones:

1) Hazel shows a white spot on the subject of the picture (some focussing problem).
2) Yari has no contrast settings so the photos are dull.

Also, there were more posts on network reception problem in Hazel's reviews than in Yari's reviews.

So, which one of Yari n Hazel has a better camera?

Finally, which one should i buy (the price difference is almost negligible)??

Yari is the best in this price range. Yari has better features than Hazel (except that hazel is wifi enabled) and definitely better looks than Hazel.

Camera is amazing if you can handle it properly. If you dont set it properly, the picture will definitely get messed up. And as far as the signal reception issue is concerned, i wont completely deny the fact that it is true but still on the whole, complete thumbs up.


@Nadia Will update you on your issue soon. But I dont think it can be done.

i'm usng yari for last 5months.. By my experience, its a nice phone and having good camera.. But d headphone r nt really good... Wen we connet 2 walkman's headset, its really unbelieveble sound and havng good sound clarity.... Its a good phone for dat affordable price with all specifications
