This phone is for someone who already owns an Ipod, a digital camera & a PDA.

so little features yet it's so thick. 25mm?! is SE the only phone maker who hasn't heard of miniaturization? even nokia now making slim phones.

This phone looks great, nice work SE! No card slot (nor FM) are deal breakers though. Please make a 'W310' based on this SE, please please please please please. If SE does make one and prices it just like the W300, it's gonna be a huge hit, no doubt about it.

to sef , i strongly support you , this foen is a class ! though the features are not that great lets be studdy guys its a fone 4 ppl who a tight budget but it it got more than "basic features" lets agree with that ! good job sony ericsson
to renzo , u aint got any taste at all < u shud see that this fone is not meant for hogh class ppl its for those who got a tight budget !!! if u want a class foen with a "memory card slot" then go for another model

By no means is this phone ugly, I love the design. For a budget phone, the features are excellent, perfect Christmas gift. Hopefully it comes out by that time?

Why can't people understand SE?
i just disagree the guy who mispelled even the word budget, and screen... this has a feature to brag for, fancy design.. not only features are of the most important factor in budget phones... look for some mobile phones that has better features at this price level, and see how ugly is that for... and also look for some very good looking phone at it's price level and compare it's features to this and see it's boringness and dullness...
if the phone is ugly for you, just stop posting, and look for a better one,.. this thread is meant for the people who have tight budget and got an interest to this stylish-feature packed basic low-budget handset...

I admit the STN screen is a bit poor, but for god's sake, it is a BUDGET phone. There are actually, god forbid, some people who would like a good looking phone with a camera for taking some photos.

Oh, and since we are talking about a BUDGET PHONE, the only real BUDGET PHONE I can think of is PANASONIC SA7
($200 at http://www.mobilebee.com)
It's been one year since that phone was released but even a year ago the price was not bad -$300 from the same source.
-2MP Sensor (by Panasonic!!! not by Nokia)
-Normal screan
-Normal battery
-Bluetooth
-Mature design!
ALL FOR $200!
That's a budget phone!

STN=Garbage quality color screan.
Also it's a joke to have a VGA camera in a cell phone today.
BUDGED PHONE?
This phone shouldn't have camera at all and no color screan at all, and instead must have a high resolution monochrome screan, must be thicker (to handle normal battery for bluetooth). Then, it would be a real stylish, mature budget phone!
UNTILL THEN
no budget phones here!

This is meant for those who have tight budget of buying a stylish phone with average features,.. for those who says it's ugly; they have no taste-for sure they were nokia 61xx hardcore fans who sticks to their boring and similar designed models...
-admit that this clamshell isa a bit fatter than 6085 ones,. but having a critical look, this far impresses than the latter one and it's other series' design concepts...
yeah it has no card slot, but bear in mind that putting card slot will increase it's price and also competes the sales of z550 and z558 and w300/z530.. SE has a know-how to manage their sales in their units, without sacrificing quality and features and competing with their other series's target market... and they didn't forgot their tight-budgeted loyalist and buyers,.. that's the best strategy ever on a mobile company to increase their sales and to benefit all their costumers...
