push to talk is a"walkie talkie" type system, you can be permently connected to another push to talk phone and all you have to do is Push the button to talk. The idea being that you only pay for the time you are acually talking (or pushing the button)

People... don't get this model wrong...
It's supposed to be a lower class than teh Z600.. so in terms of class position, the Z500 is weaker... that's why SE had the lousy screen on it... no idea why.. bu then seems like it... while it has better camera and nicer design, it's still a lower class... that's why it has no bluetooth...
wait for the z700 or something.. the clamshell version of the k700 if you want something good... or the z500 if you want a more basic phone..

I asked SE and they said the UK release date wasn't confirmed, but to watch this space... Looks like the z500 might be coming to the UK after all.

I think that all the Ericsson range is quite unique and I wish i Could buy one but unfornately my father left and we ( my family) are so poor but however I would love one especially the Ericsson T230 and the Z1010 and also the Z600e excellent
