Ive had mine for 1.5 yrs and my phone just went blank as well the other day ie the white screen of death. Im soooo bloody annoyed cause ive lost all my sms' and photos i had stored on the phone. Anyone on here from Australia who has got it fixed and how much it costs to fix it?

Someone help me please! The internal display went blank! I think will need to change the flex cable! Am I right? Where do I found it?

i bought this phone for a year alr. it works fine, just that the camera is not good.
but the biggest problem is, the lcd screen just went blank all of a sudden, and there since my warranty is up, i just have to go get another one... sigh! both mine and my friend's phone had this same problem. but otherwise, good.

I had this phone for about 1 year and i loved it ! but the screen just went blank(white)..and now no one can fix it cause its an old phone and they dont have the equipments of it...i donno the reason why it went like this but this was a real good cellphone for me..

well the phone is ok, but recently it developed a problem. the screen just went blank(white)and presently i cant view anytin on the phone again though i ve used it for just 1 yr. it's averagely good

my brother has been using this phone for like 2 years and gave it to me as a 'toy phone' but i liked it. no WSOD or whatsoever.

Do Not BUy This Phone EEven Cingular (The New At&tT) Has Stopped Using This Phone. The Signal Is Weak And BAttery Starts To Deteriorate After Time. I Know All Phone Do That But 3 Weeks?I Cant Even Get A Signal With My Phone. The Audio Sound Is Great But Do Not Buy The Phone Not Worth The Money. If You Want A Good Phone Try The "Sync" Or Motorola V551 Those Are Great Phones. The Razor Sucks Also Because The Screen Goes Out A Lot And After A Few Drops It May Break. So Like I Was Saying Do Not Waste Your Money On This Phone Its Not Worth It. Sony Should Be Ashamed Of Themselves For Releasing Something Like This.

For bluetooth, setting both to search will not work. Setting 1 to search and 1 discoverable will more likely to work. Hope this help.

my wife and daughter both have z520a phones and after about a month on both they just set a search - won't connect - any ideas????

Hi guys,
I opened up my Sony Ericson Z520i (the part with the keypad) and found out there was a tear in the flex cable. The problem is I can seem to open up the casing of the side with the screen. I'm afraid of breaking the casing. Could help give me detailed instructions on how to do it so I can replace the cable?

hey guys bought my phone last nov 16, 2007.
got the WSOD problem ur talking about last nov2,2007 /
Went to greenhills (Phil) got it checked and fixed (for Php 900.00 -ouch! - quite pricy). the problem is the flex of the fone since its a flip phone it would really abused and im guilty!Ü
so stop whining and get your fone fixed if you want, or why dont sell your phone, by the way if the problem is your lcd that would cost you round Php 1,300.00
not sure if that's for the two screens already,

i bought this phone last dec 2006 and after four months. just like others, the screen went blank.. WHITE... i advised the readers to NOT BUY THIS MODEL z520i....... YOU ARE JUST WASTING YOUR MONEY

I droped mine from quite a hight and now the external screen doesn't work
Will reconecting or replacing the flex cable fix this or does it only work with the main screen
I could live without the external screen and wouldn't be willing to risk the main screen to fix it
