hi,
Does anyone know how many mp3 songs can be stored on the phone and if its better than the k700 for someone who is a light to meduim user.

hey peepz i got dis phone 2 dayz ago n i need 2 put sum mp3s n stuff on it i've dwnloaded the software frm www.sonyericsson.com but i dnt know how to connect mi phone 2 mi laptop i've tried many of times but nop luck any recomendations????? drop me a e-mail or on this site plz 'n' thx!!

same camera as 7610 nokia?
READ THE SPECS - the z520 is a VGA camera, the 7610 is a mega pixels cam.
Also the phone is a budget model, excellent phone for its price range.
Memory is only 16MB so will only hold about 4 songs. The phone is not a proper mp3 player. the mp3 player feature is really only there for use with ringtones. Again this is a budget phone. If you need an mp3 player, get a Walkman phone, W800 or W550 or W900.
In the same price range, phone range, Sony Ericsson will ALWAYS beat a Nokia phone, SE all the way :-)

Yes you can transfer the SMS using a piece of software called MyPhoneExplorer. It also makes back up of your entire SonyEricsson.

you are very wrong about using mp3 as a MMS and SMS alert. YOU CAN!!!! I have the phone, i use mp3 for my SMS alerts.

i like to know few things from the people who have details..
How many MP3 songs it can store?
how many pic can be stored in the phone?
how long the video can made in one go i mean maxmum time ?
do this camera as good as 7610 nokia?
how this is compare to nokia flip phone not high end but similar end.

Thx for the info. I almost forgot the K700i has the added features built-in handsfree :lol:
For those enquire regarding wthr mp3 can be used as sms/mms/alarm tone...well, as the sms/mms tone i'm sorry i can't. U hv to used the preloaded tone but u might be able to change it if u know how to flash the firmware or alter the firmware of this phone. For alarm tone, YES u can use ur mp3 file as ur alarm tone.

omg omg dis is such a hard decision 2 make do it get dis phone or da k700i??? I have a few questions that i would be very gratefull for people to answer.
1:how much can i get the z520 for?
2:Can i get it on t-mobile?
3:does it play videos like mpeg-4 ect.
4:does anyone know how the two cameras on the k700i and the z520 compare?
5:Is one better and is the video function better on either of the two?

Have any of you noticed if the reception for the phone is better with that new antenna design? I'm looking at this phone and the k700 and wondered if any one had any info on the call quality/reception. I have t-mobile in the US but sometimes don't get a good signal in school when I need it.

for its price, features and looks (in uk) do you reckon this is the one to go for? for around 100 quid what do you recommend i get , must have mp3 camera and infrared. i have seen this for £79, has anyone seen it cheaper? ta.

u seems to get confused between Z520 & K700. Let me help u here a lil bit. If u're a heavy music listener and entertainment geek then i suggest u to choose K700 since the phone features 41mb of shared memory, mp3/mpeg4 player and FM radio.
But if u're just a light user of entertainment then Z520 is the best mid range coice. Z520 features many tech thingy as per bluetooth as well as IR data transfer method. To be added, Z520 also features built-in hansfree dat is not prebuilt with K700.
For GPRS access, both r using gprs class 10. No worries for internet access but well, its of course slower than the EDGE tech. Why bother if u're not a heavy net users then.

I think this phone is very nice, i bought it 3 days ago and i can't complain about the battery. I charged it like they said for 10 hours and now (monday) the battery is still half after fiddling alot with it. It's also much better looking than the nokia 6101. Don't get me wrong, i really love nokia, but now i wanted a clamshell for a reasonable price, so this one is the BOMB!!
