Google sony ericsson white screen and that should be enough to convince you not to ever buy any sony ericsson product.

same issue with the blank white screen!! sad, because it was a good phone, nice to use. about six months ago it threw a tantrum, blank white screen when fully open or a regular screen but it moved it and out of the frame really fast...very weird/annoying. was told by an independent repair person (NOT assc with S.erric) thats its a design fault with the LCD cable that runs up from the bottom shell. also, at times has cut me off mid phone call or seems to 'lose' the battery and turn itself off. the 1st time it went mental (3 weeks out of warranty) i put it in to get fixed, took nearly 2 weeks to get back (and the front closed screen has never worked since) 6 months later its doing the same thing again, after having it for about 1.5 years I have given up on it,

Hello everybody, I agree with 'yap'. Same to me, I own the phone for 1.5 yrs now, with good handling and care, but the phone just became dead recently. Just as Yap has mentioned, mine turns out blank - a white screen. There was no sign of problem before and it just died on me when I was setting up my alarm clock. Guess this phone must have a short life span and not durable.
Also, agreed with 'phonecritic', that you can't delete the useless tones and things in the phone coz they are protected files. This holds up memory space and it's worse that it doesn't have expandable memory (like a mini-SD card slot).

it has a great battery..!! 9hours in talk time, seriously.
good sound but it's a bit to.. big.

you know i have the same problem as yours and i was able to use this phone for only 3 months so now i'm using the old one =( fortunately my father will buy me a new one as a present but the one that i'm really looking for is still not available! i want sony ericsson W960 a lot!!!!

I've only had this phone for 3 days now,its hard for me to get used to it after owning nokias for so long.I dont like not having the 1-touch speed dial that I'm used to and the battery life really sux.(where do they get that the phone has up to 400 h. standby time and 9 h. talktime..mine is brandnew and goes dead in a day and a half,and thats without talking on it or using anything else for that matter).
I,ve owned much better phones.This one is not highly recommended...its more of a cosmetic chick phone.

I don't know if something is wrong with my phone:-
1. When it is in my pocket it always switches off by itself which is very annoying.
2. It has a RUBBISH memory because I don't know how to delete all the usless song that are protected files.
Can someone pllease help me!

I think tat this phone suckz!When i wanna go to the internet services , they say tat what ah connection failed,check network coverage,data comm.or internet settings!U know wat,my friend wan to send me theme or etc, they say MEMORY FULL ,please delete one or more of ur choice.I also wanna sms xxxxxx 2 java game also cannot cuz my internet lao yah pork! So lame larh sia!

I always have good impression on Sony Z520i but I guess I'm wrong. Lately it has started to give me problems as the internal screen keeps on flickers like an old TV, and sometimes it just turns blank. As a result, I need to send it for repair. For your lil' info, I've been having Z520i for almost a year and a half and there's no rough handling or whatsoever as I love my phone to bits. Well, I gotta say I'm truly disappointed.

I had this phone. It is certainly not a good phone for me. The only thing good about the phone is the keypad is really confortable, large, and the out look is good and there're two screen which is good when taking photo for yourself.
The bad thing is.. there's a music player, but only 16mb memory. What's the point of having a music player. The memory is barely enough for the pictures not to mention for the songs. The treble is too high for the speaker. It hang sometimes. Camera quality is not good.
If you just one a phone with basic function, it will be a good phone. If you want much more, this is definately not your option. I am using N73. Felt real good of changing. Only bad, z520i keypad is better than N73. haha..

this phone is such a worst phone evr made by sony ericsson...i had this phone last year...i only stayed for me for about two to three weeks.....ugly!!!!!....

plzz dun buy this phone..i had it repaired for more than 3 times already..and its 16MB memory is certainly not enuff..however,it's apeaker n audio is quite impressive..

sony ericsson z520i is a great fone.but has some disabilities in it.firtly it has only 16mb memory and it is a mp3 format fone.where i can only have limited mp3's.secondly it does not include usb cable for us to download things from net.keep it up sony ericsson.
