I've had my phone* for a little over 2 years and it worked just fine but just the other day I got a white screen and now I can't see what numbers I'm dialing, any missed calls or text messages. This really limits my use of the phone and forces me to look into getting a new phone.

hi guys,
my phone has suddenly stopped ringing.It is on vibration mode only.I cant figure it out how to on the ringing.plzz help

My screen on this phone went out.
It went out slowly, though.
As if in sessions.
It began with a delay, then it blinked at times,
then I had to close & reopen it, then I had to
turn it off, then I had to remove the battery,
THEN it finally just went blank completely.
I could still recieve calls and texts and call
people, but the screen was just white so I couldnt
SEE the numbers I typed, see whose call I missed,
or see the messages I recieved.
I gave up on it and replaced it with a Rokr.

I HATE this phone. My Sony is 2 years old and from day one I have had nothing but problems. This phone shuts itself off even when it has a full charge randomly. Speaking of the charge. Sometimes a full charge will last several day and sometimes it last only a few hours. One day I had a full charge when I left home a few hours later I wanted to get a number off of it. Once I accessed my address book my phone when dead from lack of charge. I am finally getting new phones for my husband and myself and getting rid of this piece of s--t.

Do you know of any websites where you can see how to replace the flex cable. I found one at http://www.2valor.com/Service/.../ERIZ520.asp but this page is all just picutres (which is great) but when I look up the flex cables on ebay, it looks way different... or maybe I just don't get it cause I havne't taken my phone apart yet... ?

If you scroll down it's there. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm going to soon. I figured I'll load all my contacts on Sim before I try to open my phone and replace the cable.

it's a gift to my ex, before i gave it to her i used it for a week. works great, bit slow though...

i'm wondering if my ex still use it hehe.. :P

my phone is white screen and i called ericsson they gave me a usb cable to get the numbers and pictures ,I tried to fix ,now the screen is black. I went out to get a "to go" phone. it works great ,but i'm not able to transfer my info to the new sim.
help!!!

I bought one for me and my ex and to this day her's last a car wreck (still works). Mine has been white water rafting, rock wall climbing, and i have run it over with my chevy 3 times and not a scratch

this phone is great,, i used this phone for almost a year but unfortunately i got problems charging it now i can't used it, i guess this phone really don't last long such a waste of money..

This is the 3rd Z525 whose screen goes completely white on me, basically, this is the worst phone I have ever had. Just about to give AT&T a call and hopefully they will replace it once again...

So I have this phone, the screen didn't go white, it just went blank and shut off. Would replacing the flex cable make a difference? Or is it a different problem?

yeah my z525 will not get any reception anywhere, ocassionally when im driving down the highway ill receieve a text from someone but thats about it, anyone know how to fix it??

After extensive research, I decided on a SE Z525 16 months ago. Right about the one year mark, the screen just suddently went white. I had a week left on my warranty so AT&T replaced it. 4 months later it happened again. AT&T only warranted the refurbished phone for 30 days. I called Sony and they said I could send it in and they would attempt to fix it, but it would take three weeks. Since this is the only phone I have, this leaves me with no phone. They will not send a loaner phone. This is not a unique problem with this phone and I as the consumer am stuck with a broken phone and a contact I cannot get out of. I will not buy a SE phone again and will tell all my friends not to bother buying one either.

Three members of our calling plan all had the z525a model. Of those three, two have stopped working all together, and the last one (mine fortunately) has some random errors. Periodically, the phone will be unable to access the SIM

Is anyone able to break this down for me please. My screen has gone white & I have some priceless vids that I would like to transfer over to my new cell. eg centre, toggle left x2 etc.

So turning the infrared or bluetooth on, and then sending the videos.

Anyone? Please. Hopefully. Ta.

I have had my Sony Ericsson replaced twice this is not a good phone. I would never get another Sony Ericsson. My screen went white. I called them and they sent me some kind of card to hook to the computer still didnt work. I would tell anybody dont get a sony ericsson. Its a piece of Junk

center, toggle down (1 time), center, toggle up (2 times), center, toggle down (5 times), center, toggle down (5 times), center (3 times)

then wait for quite some time...it takes a while to copy all of the contacts...I would say anywhere from 5 to 10 mins...

if anyone could give me detailed instructions on how to copy the address book to the sim card that would be great. such as push menu then 8, then scroll up(down x number of times) etc etc
