Yes - I loved this phone at first but now I'm experiencing the white out and scrolling screen Also I agree that the PTT buttons definitely get in the way and I have lost so many calls when the phone cuts off in the middle of a conversation. Disappointed

The only problem is the location of the PTT button. When opening the phone to answer, it is hard not to hit PTT, and the phone hangs up on the caller. Otherwise, this phone has been bullet proof and flawless. I get signals where others don't, and the battery lasts longer than all others my friends and family have.

I bought the Z525 in April. It was good until the screen went blank. When my current contract is up, I will be purchasing a different phone but will stay with AT&T. The push to talk button on the side is a pain in the glutious maximus

Nuff said! This phone is a piece of crap. After being sent a replacement, the piece of crap wiped out. Everyone who got this phone should get their money back or get another model free!

The phone I had was the z520a which is pretty much the same thing. This phone should have been recalled. I am wating for my fourth one and will be getting a different phone all together very soon. My first one stopped getting signal, second one the screen blacked out and wouldn't do anything, this third one I turned off and when I turned it back on everything on the screen was in different places and the softkeys didn't work on most menus so I counldn't make any outgoing calls, or really do anything for that matter.... Just Stay away from this phone.

I have had the device for about 7 months and of course my screen is white also. I work for T-Mobile and have still an AT@T contract. Someone told me there was a recall on the device. I am calling Sony!!! This is BS. I paid 150$ for this phone and it has pics of my dead friends and family and videos that now I can't get off of it. That is the worst part!!!!!

This phone is a serious piece of crap, nothing less. I've had 3 models and each time the screen whites out on me for no reason. I got a new one less than a month ago and even bought a sturdy case to protect it- it felt not one drop of water and was not dropped once and the screeen STILL broke in less than a month of replacing it. They're made to break. It's crap.

4 months ago i purchased a sony erickson phone, sometime last month, after every text i send, the phone shuts off, after every call the phone shuts off, in less than two weeks after the phone just shut downon its own, after purchase the phone never fell or had any bad treatment, these phones are of bad quality, if you appreciate your customers you would take these off the shelf

"Loved this phone" being past tense. The most expensive and flash phone I have owned. It lasted me about 18 months until..... yes that's right. "The screen went blank, and started scrolling". Oh well, very user friendly and great features but what's the point when you wake up one day and the screen dies on you.???

Maybe I'm just unlucky, but I've been through three of these phones, and in the process of replacing it AGAIN. The first time, it lasted a few months, and I was very happy with it, but then the screen failed one day, only being white, but the backlight still working. The phone was still operable as a phone only, no display. I replaced it after several days of frustration through AT&T and got a the same phone. A week later, same thing happened to the new one. Same thing for the third one, but the backlight failed as well. I've found this to be the "White Screen of Death" on several forums. I may be just unlucky, but this seems to be a persistent problem with Sony phones, so I'm not impressed with this one any longer.

im using the same phone now. I've had it repaired twice. 'cause it's screen went blank. The people at the repair shop told me that it's not really a robust phone.

but i love using it. the keypads are great. though i know, sometime now...it will have to be returned to the repair shop coz of a blank screen. --it's predictable. costly maintenance if you ask me.

i love this phone and would have considered it a perfect phone for a while until i started having problems with the screen going blank or even just going wackO. i have had two more replacement phones since the first, each for the same reason of replacement(screen malfunction) this phone would be wonderful if not for these repeated screen problems. memory on my phone was never an issue and i had many capabilities and features

I've had this phone almost a year, and up until now- it's been a great phone. I've dropped it a few times- but nothing really major... just minor scratches that haven't really damaged it. In my opinion, it holds up well.

However, over the past 2 weeks, it's started getting no reception- first in the parking lot at work (where I always make calls) and finally now in my own house (where i make tons of calls) I have no reception, no bars at all. The main stickers in it don't show water damage, and it's not the sim card- so it's obviously the phone. I'm exchanging it for a new one by mail right now, and hopefully, that'll work better.

I'm just worried they'll tell me it's water damage- which- since it's been dry here for awhile and I've had this problem going on 2 weeks, I doubt.

But, it took a year for this problem to show... so I think it's ok overall.

This is a pretty tough little phone. I am a mechanic and honestly I pushed this phone to its limit. It has been dropped, rained on, ran over by a car, left on hot motors, frozen in the winter, basically everything that you are not to do with your phone, it survived. It may drop a call once in a while, or get a bad signal when you on the edge of nowhere. I have had it for 2 years and the charging system just now died. If a phone lasts me 2 years its tough.
