I have had my phone for 9 months an it has been dropped on concrete a few times. Still worked good after that. I like the fact that its easy to hear the other person on the other end. Although today I turned it off an wiped it with a paper towel an when I turned it back on all i could get was a white screen. The company is sending a replacement. I only hope I have all my info saved correctly.
I've had the phone about 6 months and it all the sudden just stopped working. I pulled it out of my pocket to call someone and it wouldn't turn on anymore.
its started as a really good phone... after that it all went downhill from there. Started to turn off and some problems with turning it on. screen sometimes gets blank
this phone is available more than a year and the status in the specifications page still "comingsoon" i don't know why????
i got this phone just over a year ago and about 6 months after i got it the screen went blank/white (for no reason) and they had to fix it. it just happened again yesterday but it's not under warranty anymore so i guess that's goodbye to my phone :-| it was good while it worked though!
This is one of the worst phones I've ever dealt with. People call call me and get a busy signal...not even sent to my vm! I've received a "corrupt" text message. I've never in all the time I've had a cell phone even heard of a corrupt text message until this phone. I will be staying away from this one forever! Why is it so hard to find a decent, working phone?
Ummm ive had this phone for i think 4 months now. I have dropped it on concrete multiple times and other things it has yet to even scratch . . . i dont know what you people are doing to your phones mine is doing perfectly fine.
I love this cell phone. I've had it for awhile now with no issues.
ditto- mine broke after 3 months and i didn't do anything. i wish it had lasted it, it was great while it was still working!
DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!!!!!!!!!! I have 3 of them in the past month, and they have all broke!
i am on my 7th phone since last year. all under warranty. these suck and break very easily without even doing anything to them.
I have had this phone replaced times Cingular should stop selling this product
I am on my third phone since September and all of them have been terrible. the ringer fried on one and the reception has been terrible on all. Every time I have taken the phones back, centennial wants to replace my phone with same piece of crap i have already had 3 times. My suggestion to any one thinking about buying this phone is DO NOT!!!!!!!!!!!
Worst phone I've ever had...even worse than my previous LG. Poor reception inside and outside of my home (possibly a Cingluar problem, but happens even with full signal) and I'm less than 5 air miles from downtown Charleston, SC. I too hate the flip case and the fact you can't use a GOOD belt clip or case with it is unbelievable. No wonder so many people have dropped these phones. No more buying phones online for me without first looking at them in a store! 20 months left on my contract, but I may spring for another phone before summer. As for the moisture claims, I think all cell phone manufacturers use that as a way to get out of replacing the phones because we CAN'T disprove it. Same happened with my last LG. I would not recommend this phone to anyone!
I'm on my fourth z520 and 525 in a year. Each on has lasted less than afew months and they all have the same problem. The screen goes blank and is white. No appearent reason or cause. They are junk and now Cingular refuses to replace it or let me upgrade. So in short the z525 and Cingular are not worth having.
myself and two other people who have this phone have had the same problem of the screen getting messed up when the phone was dropped once. i've had continual other problems, the most problematic one is that now my phone freezes on me, and is unable to produce any sound at all (earphone, ringing, alarm clock) and i have to restart it. this happens about 2 times a day. this is a very unreliable phone.
