I am pure Asian and I dont understand these kids who say z530i has small screen because it cant play san andreas or does not have surround sound!
a mobile phone is for making and receiving "calls" FIRST (remember?), and everything else is secondary and ADDED plus, which in this case is SUPERB! in fact i dont know any phone likewise!
Another thing, unlike a teenagers opinion, this is NOT a "sissy" phone and NOT womenonly phone!
In fact, z530i is one of the most solid and masculine looking small phone available. Please check it out in real life instead of watching thumbnail pictures before reviewing.

Please respect the preferences of others. You may not have to agree. I don't understand the Asian obsession with phones. A phone is a phone. If it allows additional functions like a camera and music player, then fine. But what's the deal with coveting a phone that's bigger and better in features? Something better and meaner is always gonna come out. It's kinda sad if your life revolves around a phone and the phone is all that defines you.

Do you think Made in China is poor of quality sign...
I think you are not well educated then...
Please forgive me if i offence anyone of you...
I'm from Malaysia, I work in a factory who helps SE to produces bluetooth handsfree n also handphone covers...
I know their specs. it is very tight...
If you judge products quality by the Made in... form then please ask all the big giants go back to manufacture it...
Made in China does not means develope in China n Design in China... SE do all the design from their design house...
Please dont critisize the country...
Dont see product from the 'Made In'
Judge by the product quality itself...
BTW, if you say China or asian product no good then i advise you to go back to ur study n learn more...

I like this phone very much its very great phone it has all common and best features excluding only one that it has not any symbion like OS. and second that its M2 memory stick is costly and not easily found in market. but all of this i like this phone very much at this price.

u call this type of screen " big screen" ?
i personally dun think that , and its just a microscopic screen when comparing with those high-tech japanese phones ... this phone is way too small .. and i don't quite understand the westerner's mind .. y they prefer small handset which makes everyone looks sissy?

it has everything you need from a cell phone of its price,Bluetooth support,USB 2.0 connectivity,infrared port,big screen,0.3 Mp camera,excellent clam design,excellent battery Li-Ion 900 mAh,that means you dont have to charge it every 2-3 days,it even has internal memory 24MB plus you can expand it up to 1Gb with a memory card.

i just bought this hp for my gf.... very good phone...with mp3 player... can use micro mmc for extra storage.... the camera is not bad... the price is totally acceptable.... a very good deal.. a very good buy/.

great handset, great design, great features great performance! 25MB available memory is not low! u can easily expand it via memory card upto 5 GB I think! and for the ms outlook question, u can easily get ur outlook contacts imported and many more things u can do, just go to z530i page on sonyericsson.com and get the windows programe that will do it.

im not a young person and wanted a simple cellphone with simple camera and video plus bluetooth to transfer to my pc, and this phone is simply amazing on all counts and solid and sturdy good grip to carry. the fabric black extra skin is awesome and so grippy! just one thing that they should have an option to import contacts from MS Outlook into this phone. this is my first sony-ericsson after years of motorolas and nokias (when i was younger!) and now am impressed! to keep life simple keep z530i for simple basic stuff and use other stuff for more, like proper ipod for music, nikon for photos etc.

I just recently got this phone and am quite impressed with all its features and design. It's a very chic design, a solid feel in the hand and especially the little handle like thing on top makes it look like a super-modern phone! Very masculine and solid looking! But I guess I have the silver and black covers, so if a lady wants it, she'd probably go for a red one. Great buy! Am satisfied! :)

guys... cut it sum slack. maaybe it is not having all the features u look for, does not mean it is bad.have u used it?? i think it is an excellent fone for people who want mp3 and an ok enuf camera with no other complex features- yes beleive me there are a lot of such people.and if marketed right this could sell real well.the design is also cool tho, can anyone tell me if they have used it...wud be of great help or all of us
