This phone is amazing , i have it from may 2006. It works very good, the clock is excellent, i don't need to update, it remains only 2 or 3 seconds late in about 1 year(verified with time.windows.com)
And the correction is about Memory Card supported, I have a Sony microM2 with 4 Gb and works very good, it's a little slower when i turn on the phone, but it's working. I have 2000+ mp3's at 64 Kb/s.

where can i buy this type of phone? i hav one but not working well. it automatically turns off evry after 3 to 5 mins.

Friends i am having the same phone. Really good.
The outer case(panel) of mine is damaged.
I am thinking about changing the panel itself.
Is it available?
Can i change the panel?

I have it since jan. 2008! Great phone, except it's not as loud as I'd wished!
About the KD player, it went well for the first time, but afterwards it froze and I had to delete it...
I'm thinking G700 or G900 now :)

Dear Pramod;

Here are the STEPS in how to install the KD MP3 Player on your phone z550 and If you want to upgrade your phone z500 to W-Series just follow this steps and I know you want to make your sounds more louder and I have just had found you a software and the name of the software is "KD PLAYER", just follow this STEPS that I will give to you;


STEP 1; Go to this site and download this KD Player;

STEP 2; After downloading the Kd Player, open the KD Player;

STEP 3. After opening the Kd Player, there's a question there that will appear and the question goes like this "Allow application to read user data?", click "YES"

STEP 4. After that go to the "Playlist" then Select "New Playlist", then after that put a name that you want over the "Name of the Playlist" for exmaple I want "John" to be the name of my Playlist after that then click "Ok"

STEP 5. After that the question appears again "Allow application to read user data?" clcik "Yes"

STEP 6. After that go to "e:/" then a question will appear again "Allow application to read user data?" click "Yes"

STEP 7. After taht select "MSSEMC" then a question will appear again "ALlow application to read user data?" click "Yes"

STEP 8. Select "Media files" then a question will appear again "Allow application to read user data?" click "Yes"

STEP 9. Select "audio/" then a question again
will apear "Allow application to read user data?" click "Yes"

STEP 10. Then select the songs you want, after selecting the sounds you want, click "More" near the select then click "Finish"

STEP 11. After that Go to "Playlist" and Select the name of the Playlist that you have chosen in STEP 4, Please read STEP 4 and for example in STEP 4 I have chosen "John" that's the name of the Playlist that you I have chosen,

STEP 12. After that when you want to play your MP3 music just go to "Kd Player" and play your MP3 music there and find the difference bet. "Kd Player" from your ordinary "Media Player" and I can assure you that the software that I gave to you this "Kd Player" has much louder bass and sound combustion like a Walkman Player than the ordinary "Media Player" that is already in your phone.

I would like to know that is sony Z550i accept macro memary card when ever i was purchase retailer told me that only m2 card accepted and only 1gb so what about it. reply

well i have no idea which settings i should change to get e-mail. i tried to get smth from se software but they told me they haven't any settings.
