can anybody tell me if d touch screen only for text writing or can we browse through fone also without using keypad.

have your phone firmware update over the sonyericsson site. don't just stay around being disappointed with your problem unsolved. note that all phones of this generation have problems as you are experiencing but companies offer free firmware updates to optimize and improve phone's performance and remove problems from the previous development stages of the phone. try it before you curse all SE as you are doing now. i am using one of the SEs and i didn't even have firmware updates and it works so fine to me, i usually use every functions of a phone when i had a chance to have it in my hand.

I had just buy this phone 2 weeks ago.. it really look nice n cool. but the PROBLEM is.. just after 1 week, my phone has occur a problem.. it will be SHUT OFF automatically!! I din even notice it has been shut down!! When I realize my phone is so silient for the whole day, then only I realize that it is shuted down!! The phone is still having 56% of battery!! How can it be like that? Then by the following week.. it also the same thing.. it will be shut down by itself without my notice (at least 5 times it happen)!! So I went back to the dealer and tell him the problem, then he check n tell me that it is the SOFTWARE PROBLEM! I had just bought the phone for 14 days n now the phone is return back to the factory for warranty!! Wat a shock that the phone is spoil in 14 days!!! really disappointed with the sony ericsson products as I had been using sony ericsson phone for so many years!! Now the phone is still under REPAIRING.. dunno after repairing, it will be function well or not..
IF THE PHONE GOT ANY PROBLEM WITHIN 2 WEEKS, CAN IT BE CHANGE BY A NEW PHONE?? OR IT ONLY CAN UNDER WARRANTY REPAIR??

when will SE make another touchscreen phone. hope to see some java phones using touchscreen as input aside from keypads. just like the samsung's one(F700 and some E-series of that company) this could be cool and nice imo.

you first think of what is important for you as far as i know there's a bunch of phones ther that has better specs than this one but if you fancy all of this phones features and don't need the features coming out on the market(HSDPA,3G,multitap touchscreen,WIFI,Symbian,Windows 6.0 etc) then there's no reason will you be confused. in it's price it's worth the money. good performance,camera,sound and UI user friendly. what else do you need aside from this?

the fact that the matter is before you all buy phone you have to research everything including prices cause theirs a lot of website you can the diff.prices an different review of cellphone

what about software? how to install software? like installing antivirus.... into z558i??? when i bought this phone, no CD included in the box.... have i been cheated??? i've downloaded sony ericsson pc suite.... no 'install software' function.... so i cant install any software because .SIS doesnt automatically execute

cool innovation from sony ericsson...a flip phone touchscreen?...isnt it cool?..and the stylus also acts as a strap for the phone which makes it even cooler!...
