It doesn't have digital zoom, but digital zoom is of no use anyway... might as well get the original and just crop and resize it. Same as a digital zoom, but better. You still have the original.

does this phone have zoom?
and would it be worth saving money for when a phone just as desirable but better memory and all your other bad points are covered? if so, does anyone have any news on one? i adore the p900's specs etc but love the z600's looks

Overall impression - thick, maybe too thick, althout fits in the hand suprisingly well, and not too heavy. Looks worst than in is - and it's maybe the only complaint I would have about the phone, asides that it does not have the remaining standby time as it used to be on the T39. Feels more solid than I would have anticipated, and the clamshell design was really well done.
Hrdware - colour display very good and sharp, visible without problems in full daylight, although no intensity adjustment is avaliable. Keypad large and easily pressed, far better than any of the older T18-28-39 series.
Ring volume quite high, although dependent a lot on the melody - many of the included ringtones (as midi files) are just too long to serve as a reminder that someone is waiting to be answered.
RF reception outperforms may of the older /// models, battery life good, although because of the truckload of features, it's not a matter of standby-talk time anymore. Games, camera usage, or just browsing through all the wallpapers, themes, ringtones and using the screen at full intensity willl noticeably shorten the stand-by time.
Camera - lots of fun, though resololution is still low, wish it could be 640x480. Ten again, it's not meant to replace a stand alone digital camera - so it's still quite impressive, with the negative-pic effect or night mode(which increses the exposure time, but not tremendously)
Overall impression - excellent, and really worth having.

I've had this phone for about a month now and its the best phone i've ever used so far. The reception is next to perfect, no dropped calls and sound quality is superb, not to mention the screen WOW. I also bought the Samsung e715 but i could not change the ip settings so that i could use the browser, but anyways the z600 has bluetooth and i'd much rather stick to my sony ericsson.

i bought a sez600 yesterday.i am very happy with the phone.i was having confusion whether to buy z600/samsung e700/nokia6600.huh nokia 6600 is a stupid phone.it says it has 65ktft colour display.please guys if you have bought it seeing that please file a case against nokia.its display is not good for viewing and not much diference when compared to 4096 colours.what does nokia think of people....they can be fooled.well e700 is a good phone.slim, small and good cam.but i have a casio digicam...so not bothered about cam.what e 7oo lacks is bluetooth ,voice dial,.....it lacks a lot of features.guys...z600 has a lot of features and so i bought it.for knowing the full featuresof z600,e700,6600 you can download the manual and read that.you will know what these phones have.z600 is a very good phone.

Michelle, you can download the manual from the SE website at www.sonyericsson.com. Type z600 in the site search and one you have all the information, you will see a category on the left hand side entitled Support. Following that there's a list of links, one of which says User Guides. It's in PDF format, by the way. I downloaded the manual before I got my phone so I could use it straight away ;) I hope this helps.
