Just flash the firmware to the original Sony Ericsson one.
It's just the OPERATOR FIRMWARE that stops you from doing that.

hi y'all . i have this phone. best phone i ever had.no problems so far.good one. as talking about ringtones and stuff i know that u can not apply mp3 songs as ringtone. try to download the songs in WMA format instead of MP3. i am sure u'll take hold of that. i did the same .thanx.

i've been u sing this phone about a year and wat im not satisfied is the camera..u cant capture it full screen and much worse is that u cant zoom it in 2mp..it only works in vga...and u cant zoom the picture afterwards..
but it doesnt bother much if u dun take serioulsy bout the cameras
the music key function is great and friendly user and i also dropped it several times but still works really fine
my friends says its really cool

This phone is superb, I ve used it since dec 2006, when it came out in canada, its great, it works inthe subway, great features, still advanced, great mp3 player, dropped it really hard and it working perfcectly, its gotten wet, beeen slammed hard, atleas once a month. and still works. There wwas this one time i was mad and i threw my phone aginst the wall hard an ther e was no damage

I have been using My Z710i since December 2006. I bought it for Rs. 12500.00 and on the 14th month it became troublesome. It wont capture GSM signals of 900 Hz. Sony Ericsson says it can be rectified only by changing the circuit board which costs about 75% of the total cost. So it is now being used as a camara, music player, FM Radio, Alarm clock, etc... It was really good I loved it very much; Still I do but...

I bought this phone on December 2006. After 14 months I had network problem. My phone do not pick up any network signals. Sony Ericsson service people said it can be rectified only by replacing the Circuit board completely and it costs about the 75% of the cost. I bought it for Rs 11500.00

This phone is absolutley brilliant, I bought it second hand and had had it for more than a year with no problems at all, it has been dropped and abused but is still perfect great features so very happy, I know they are old but very good !!!

This phone was designed back in the days when SE still had a lot of imagination and understanding of what people like. It's an excellent phone, I've had the gold sand one for over a year with no problems at all. Good camera, lightning fast responses and fast startup (especially compared to most new SE phones these days), excellent connectivity, great quality sound/FM radio, excellent call quality...only 3G is missing really but EDGE is fine in most cases! I've even clumsily dropped mine a couple times, hasn't affected it at all and still looks great.
I have a 2GB memory stick with no problems at all.

Good lookin and I'm lookin for a new SE since my w810i is 2 years old. This looks like the closest thing I'm looking for but seems kind of an old model! Why can't I find any cool NEW phones? With all these phones coming out nowadays, it's enough to make your head spin!

Great flip phone , and i've used this phone for over 2yrs and the phone is going well. The camera is good better than K610

i had this phone for about more than one year. it worked very well until my daughter threw it in glass of water. very nice phone ,i had no complaints at all. SE rules.
