Well, no, not really. The SO906i is also UMTS 2100/800 + GSM 900/1800/1900. It's the same network. Just better specs!!!

we dont get the same phones as the japanese because they use a different network to us.

Compared to what Sony Ericsson make for the Japanese market, this mobile is ugly and such a toy. Why can't WE get something like the SO906i?

In compare with z750 both have GPS/AGPS,same camera 2.0,same screen,all ,except for the HSDPA in z780 is 3.6 Mbps and in z750 is 1.8 Mbps, the z780 is more thin and more light 100 gr vs 110 gr in z750.I'm not sure if z780 have FM-Radio/RDS .

Can not wait to purchase this phone once it becomes available. Based on the specs it does everything I need without overkill...plus I can not wait to toss my blackberry and have everything in a compact...qwerty key pad with its tiny buttons is a waste of time...this phone is the best of both worlds and minus wi fi and some speed, it truly doesn't differ that much from the new blackberry 9000 at its core...can not wait to buy the z780...everything I want in a small clam shell...perfect!

i get staff cap plan for 10 dollars a onth for 150 worth of calls at 30cents with this phone for 5 dollars a month and can cancel my contract whenever for no charge just thought id let you all know so unlucky

its not going to be 370$, but little less than that may be somewhere close to 300$, if you buy it unlock, if you take it with AT&T then the deal will be even better, that is in contract.

It is nice in terms of feature (though a 3.2mp camera would be better) but why can't the screen be made bigger. Look at the large gap below the screen- if the screen was extended to fill this gap it would be awesome phone.
