C... moreI've been using a cheap case since day one and decided to use my phone bare the other day. I've noticed the bottom right side of the cap creaks a little bit. It was driving me nuts to the point that I don't want to touch my phone because the creaking bothers me. I used to do this on my older phones when the battery is a bit loose so might as well try this on the Xperia P.
I tore a little piece of tissue/paper (really small). Fold it a bit and placed it on the right side of the device (below where the cap clips). I inserted the cap back on and the creaking is gone. I'm not sure if the service center repairs this issue but this worked for me.

ren, 24 Nov 2012Thx for the reply..in first charge of xperia P.how long do I need to charge it?The longer the better, at least 6-8 hours (put it on charger when going to sleep after initial charge drop below 20%).
Same procedure is needed aftery each factory reset and OS upgrade.
iamjaosn, 24 Nov 2012what is the difference between an upgraded to ics xperia p from the xperia p that is sold with... moreThere is no difference between factory installed ICS and separately installed ICS (upgrade).
People who have issues after upgrade usually did upgrade without prior factory reset, and some remains from GB make troubles.
So if you factory reset Xperia P and do ICS update result is same as buying factory preinstalled ICS.
I heard some issues regarding Xperia P. The LED transparent bar is easy to have a crack so if you're going to use Xperia P make sure you won't ever drop it. Also, the color/paint of the cover peels off easily. My friend's Xperia P is Silver and the bottom plastic part's (below the LED transparent bar) paint finish is peeling off easily if scratched accidentally. :( it's really a good phone overall, just concerned about the durability of the phone
I have received on of these devices as a refurb, but the cap on the base of device is loose. Can't be bothered to return it. I have noticed thw cap seems physically larger than the phone. Has anyone else had such issue? Certainly, beware of this if you intend to purchase item.

Thanx a lot .
I prefer sony products than samsung
coz of batter sound and camera.
Which one will be better-Xperia P ( 282 USD ) Xperia s ( 374 USD ) , ion ( 392 USD ) galaxy S 2 ( 398 USD )
i like better Music and net surfing .
Btw i m from bangladesh . Where r u from ?
Another thing : super AMOLED VS LCD
I read that brightness of AMOLED decrease 50 %after 1 yr and longevity is less than LCD though 18 %less battery consumption.
i m really confused .
Thanx dear .
what is the difference between an upgraded to ics xperia p from the xperia p that is sold with ics on the box??
kindly answer me please.
After Acer Liquid E, Just brought yesterday, I found this phone light weight, rich sound speaker, and good specifications at price. Due to local popular company stationary is also available up to my marks.
I am quite happy to have such a phone in my hand.
ICS works fine for me. No issues at all. Factory reset and do a SUS repair. I'm currently using WiFi for more than 3.5 hours, still I'm on 45% from 90%. From 90% it drops quickly to 80% in less than an hour. But when it reaches 60%, the decrease rate slows down.

Of course You can attach 3rd party foil if you want (or better buy jacka-type case for smartphone, and you don't need additional protectors).
