I used to rely on my nokia mobile hotspot to share my 3g data on my other wi-fi devices and it works on all except for my Xperia S, any reason why the access point can not be detected by XS?

No.. Easily gets into scratches..

Yea but you dont know that every SONY phone has "screen protector" over Scratch-resistant glass.
Your scratches are on protector not on glass display.
Get info next time before you write something like this.

> In reply to LiFe.beyondEarth @ 2012-04-20 23:59 from nC1Z - click to readLOL stop dragging the yellow tint issue which SONY had already resolved by pulling out the devices affected by this issues and giving replacement units to those who had been affected thus it will not happened anymore its just a factory defect on "FEW" units ... 2nd crapsung gives you BLUE screen in the "whole screen" no matter what are you doing even not in heat and they call it normal thats so funny.

> In reply to EagleEye @ 2012-04-20 22:51 from HsE3 - click to readIt might be one of those cards with larger chip. When they cut it to micro, it (the chip) may be damaged (I was told the chance is say 20% it would be). Try to get replacement SIM from your provider...

I found my XPeria S battery is weak, it last only around 4 hours for normal use. Worst than my IPhone 3Gs, that can stand around 1 hour more with similar usage. I'm using those phones mainly for web browsing and IM (WhatsApp, Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk, etc.). I have installed '2x Battery' application in XPeria, but it's doesn't help much. I'm currently have to bring along secondary battery/charger wherever I go to ensure that those phones will have enough juice for all day use. It's not convenient certainly. Any suggestion on how to prolong battery life of XPERIA?

> In reply to gulan @ 2012-04-21 00:11 from uvqy - click to readWell then Xperia S is the best choice for you it have all this which you are looking for i have the XS since 6 weeks and iam very satisfigth with it independet whatever you do with it its a top notch mobile and battery life is very decent cammera and videorecording is among the best you wont find a better phone and its a lot cheaper then htc one x which i also have the but the sense 4.0 ui is very heavy to handle for a ordinary user and musicplayer of the one x is also a bit complicatet compaired to XS the Xperia S has a much moore simple musicplayer and very good sound as well so the Xperia S is the much better choice in my opinion but you decide by you self i hope it helps you a bit

hi everybody
any india user pl clarify if RAM is 1 GB or 512 MB?
sony india website mentions it 512 mb. I have PRO which has 512 mb and usable around 320 mb not that good. Even 1 gb has actually usable 620 mb as seen from some posts.

> In reply to gulan @ 2012-04-21 00:11 from uvqy - click to readUnbiased preference:
01. SXS
02. SGS2
03. Note
04. Evo 3D

Note:
- SGS2 is 2nd because technology is one year old, but still on par with SXS
- Note is 3rd because its not meant for one hand use
- Also note: SONY is always late with updates. Gingerbread is still VERY GOOD I'd say for now, cant say same after regular updates to ICS roll out, and SONY is usually late to implement :)
