Ajay, 28 Apr 2012I recently got Xperia S. Loving the phone all the way. But I seem to have a problem with batte... moreNopes,Mine gets quickly charged within 1.5 hrs to 100% and on heavy usage stands for atleast 5-6hrs
My contract is due for an upgrade. The network provider at present is not offering the Xperia S. I now have to consider the Samsung Galaxy S2. Which phone is recommended?
Anonymous, 30 Apr 2012hi everyone! i have a question. how long does it take to charge an empty battery to full?On the express charger it takes 2-3 hours and on the normal dock's charger it takes 7-8 hours.
Great phone, stunning screen, pretty awesome specs. However battery is terrible, mine only lasts like 2 hours on standby.
hi everyone! i have a question. how long does it take to charge an empty battery to full?
Which s best white or black ???? Is this phone good enough to keep it for 2 yrs ??
low battery pack up as compare to others phones of same function & same range. not imressive
stop complaining about the battery life
it improves after 2-3 weeks
after 2-3 weeks it charges quickly like 0 to 100 in an hour
This phone is really good. screen is clear, processing is fast (browser speed is amazing).
I also use maps a lot and the location service is far more accurate compared to other phones. possibly the GLONASS helps a lot with this.
speaker is loud.
the only few gripes i have is the 3 capacitive dot buttons. the sensor isnt that accurate and i usually have to press/tap 2 to 3 times for it to work.
the back cover is also a finger print magnet (black version. i dont know with the white unit)
some apps takes a lot of RAM i think. maybe some Sony system apps running. it only gives me about 350-420 MB free RAM, considering that the original RAM is 1GB. missing around 650++ MB of RAM is a lot. I hope ICS update would free some more RAM to make it even faster and smooth.
and another thing, but this is just cosmetic, I wish that Sony didnt use the green Sony Ericsson logo at the back. they should've made it uniform to have Sony brand on the phone and trash any Ericsson traces.
overall I really Love this phone. I can live with the complains I have above. the positive aspects of this phone outweighs those gripes.
Im puzzled why people are having problems with the battery. I think it depends on the batch manufactured per market? I live in the Philippines and the unit I got is good. I dont exactly monitor how long it charges the battery from a complete drain but it does not take more than 2 hours for a complete 100% charge. then I use the phone normally for quite a number of text messages, FB and twitter posts, some instant messages and a couple of calls and few emails. i still have about 20% when I get home. And I always have location service enabled and background data as well. I have Bluetooth and NFC turned OFF though since I dont use them.
whenever I buy a new phone, I always completely drain it first then charge it 100%, then do this same cycle one more time. after that then I just use the phone normal and charge it whenever I like even if battery is not yet drained... then I just do the drain/charge cycle once a month (even with my iPad) to keep battery healthy. I've always seen this battery care routine guide which doesnt matter if your battery is Lithium ion or nicad(?) or lithium polymer. Doesnt hurt to do this.
Sharna-Marie, 29 Apr 2012I have had this phone from a week after its release date (UK)... I have already had to send it... morei think when we charge the battery when it reach 100% percent
the phone automatically disconnect the electricity so
it will prevent the battery to be overcharge.
if you leave the phone too long when it full it will automatically
decrease when it LREADY reach 100% because it stop charging.
i hav dis fone..n its perfectly workin fine..the camera is just awesome n reall a rocking fone.

Anonymous, 28 Apr 2012Have you considered looking carefully in the settings? Yupe .. Can't find it anywhere.. You can stream via Wifi through DLNA.. But you don't have WiFi Direct
Abdus, 28 Apr 2012Well, thank you Mr. That was one of the key features which still drives me to get my hands on... moreI am not sure about this but some people said that if we need the PS Store working while we are in the Middle East, purchase unlocked from UK because PS Store services by Sony is available in the UK. To be honest, I love to have this services because I like Sony's PS game classic "Crash Bandicot". This is a problem with Sony they have so many services but only available in a very few countries.
