I had this peice of beauty a week ago. And really hats off to sony. It's just awesome . but one thing which is disappointing me is the poor battery life. otherwise this really beats sgs2 in any way. Once again it's just awesome

I read online that existing Rogers customers can't purchase the phone in Canada. They only will sell to new customers. Anyone have any info on that?
Phone Mechanic, 15 Apr 2012htc one s is a future proof device with new dual S4 KRAIT cores and adreno 225 GPU, ICS and se... moreThis is a nonsensical statement. Nothing is future proof, but ANY phone with a dual core can easily be used for the next 5 years. There is no need what-so-ever for a quad core phone, other than to boast about it. The Sony Xperia S does not lag - it's super snappy. It will continue to browse the web in the next few years, just as effortlessly as it does right now. You won't wake up one morning and suddenly have an obsolete phone, it doesn't work that way.
I got this phone coming from a Nokia/Symbian device. Literally chose it over the new Lumia range, because of app availability. Since the battery life software upgrade, this phone has been absolutely amazing. Lasts a full day for me, and I'm a heavy user. This phone is iconic and the screen is absolutely gorgeous.
Bravo to Sony for making this device. It made my switch to Android super easy. (BTW, Sony also provide a software that transfers your contacts from a Nokia device directly to your new Sony device. This was both unexpected and super useful).

deep111111, 15 Apr 2012my 3 days with sony s ,no lag no hanging issues but battery drains fast ,some fix might be on ... moreI just got it and can feel slight lag . Its all depends on how much you stress it. I had 100 apps and 8 gb of music with 2500 photos and 1 gb of videos in it.
So it pretty much over loaded which i agree but though just a smartphone close to pc should be capable of running everything and i would expect in future phones could be customizable with specification as user likes.
I wish a company will start customizing phones which could be a new era.
its not tuff to customize a phone once designed. If the base is strong ie board which should be able to add more functionalities over the period of time.
As XS is capable of bluetooth v4.0 Though we dont have any high end requirement down the line say 2 years v4 is must. Not sure even htc one x could survive more than 2 years down the line.
Trend is getting changed every now and then. People demand more irrespective what actual usage may be. So Manufacture should understand what the consumer need.
Say for example xperia new series.
i could understand that XS and Ion are superior model. But XU and XP have great functionality of LED light changing when screen picture color changes. Its not a high end feature but being mid high end phone is capable of this unique feature why not XS over a upgrade optionally.
As Screen size is given as preference but still cant accept that they had not designed XS from the ground.
I love the phone but its incomplete from my point of view.
No gorilla glass
old Bluetooth v2.1( Not even v3.0HS)
Useless strip design as no color change at all and there by hard to use capacity button above strip.
